Snow Days

Image
Having 4 boys means looking for simple and cheap ways to get our energy out together, especially on no school snow days!!! ❄️Monday’s no school day was called for lots of snow and slick conditions...not so much for it’s below zero conditions....so this called for a perfect sledding and snowboarding day!!! We had a blast playing in the fresh snow and sunshine!!☀️ ❄️Tuesday/Wednesday no school days were due to severe cold conditions (-30 to -55 degrees!) that called for a visit to the library for reading and board games, friends over to hang out, going to the movies, a great game of Monopoly, tacos, forts, puzzles, and baking!!  ❄️Just got a phone call from the school district...no school for Thursday!! What a crazy week! We will have to get creative for tomorrow.  ❄️For now...I will just listen to the boys laughing and playing and being thankful for a warm house for us to be snuggled nice and close in.... thankful for all the ways you provide for us Lord.❄️some warm weather w...

January moments and working on new goals!

Monday there was no school for us this week so we enjoyed a wonderful day together, great attitudes and 4 boys who were ready for fun! We sure missed daddy but we are so glad he enjoying time away in Denver.  The weather was chilly but didn’t stop us from piling in the van with our sleds and snowboards! Great morning together, with a stop to Culver’s for lunch, of course!! I loved every minute with my guys.❤️great school day off!! One of my 19 goals for 2019 is being more present and less distracted. It felt great and I look forward to many more moments like this.

It has been a special weekend together as a family. Lots going on these days during the heat of basketball season for us, but lots of fun cheering for our guys! Our weekend started out by celebrating my mom on Friday afternoon at her retirement party! She retired after working 42 years at North Memorial Hospital as a respiratory therapist and teaching many patients in her North Winders program. I am beyond proud of her and took some photos of her special celebration. These are the ladies my mom worked with everyday-thankful for Summer, Angie, and moms best friend Mary who made everyday more fun together. After the party at moms work we headed to grandpa Curt’s pool and had a great time swimming!! Fun to see the cousins together again. We are so proud of you grandma!!! "Breathe" easy mom, you’re Retired!!😊 Next up came a full day of basketball for the boys. Caleb had his home tournament taking 2nd place!! Whoop! Love this smile from our bubba man! M...
