Drew's state tournament weekend!

Image
Each year gets more fun cheering for these boys play baseball! Drew has had such a great baseball season and although there is still one more tournament for Drew, I wanted to highlight the state tournament this 11u team played in last weekend that wrapped up their official baseball season. It seems like the sport seasons get longer as they get older and we can remember some of our first ball games in the beginning of May! The team has improved a ton and Drew has made so many fun memories this year. Take a peak at some of our best moments from the state tournament! A pic of these 4 before the games began on Friday morning. Drew up to bat!! He had some great hits throughout the weekend! This rainy first game proved to be a challenge for us. Drew pitched great! Even putting out his best in the first game, the team lost their first game of the weekend. Determined to get back out there and win the next one! Great cheering section! Nana and GG, grandpa, daddy and brothers! Kyle

Micah's baseball Tournament

Our weekend was packed with watching Micah play baseball, so to take a little time with grandma and grandpa to pick blueberries was really a treat! We had a great time tasting the blueberries as we picked!  These guys are taking a little break. The weather was perfect this morning and not quite as hot as it had been for the last few days.  I'm not sure if they are picking any berries to keep or just snacking and chatting? Ha! We have so much fun with grandma and grandpa! Micah was pretty excited they were coming to watch him play baseball!  Caleb and grandma made blueberries jam together! Caleb really wanted to see what blueberry jam tasted like, so they gave it a try.  Jacob wanted to show grandma and grandpa that he knows how to wake board now! He also showed off is diving tricks. It makes me smile how much he has grown this year in his swimming skills. No longer just a boat snacker, but now just as excited to jump  in the lake and do some tricks like his brothers!

Swimming lessons

Last week we wrapped up swimming lessons at the high school. I'm so glad these boys can swim so well! They are really confident in the water and I think that is a great skill to have with as much as we are on the lake and in the water. It was fun to watch Micah swim laps and do some diving!  Caleb has gotten so strong. He has really gotten better with his swimming in the last year.  Jacob had fun swimming too and thought it was really fun to jump off the diving board!  He looks a little nervous to jump but he says he was just checking things out at the edge. :) SPLASH!! Canon ball!! Swimming lessons are complete! Lots of fun to swim with friends, go to the gas station with mom and pick out a treat afterwards, and become better swimmers!!

Camping Trip!

We had a blast camping for 2 nights at Devils lake state park! Felt so great to escape the crazy baseball schedule and spend time together.   The boys wanted to sleep in their own tent this year. With little help from daddy, they managed to set up their tent and organize their stuff together with minimal fighting! Kyle and I had fun seeing them work together and problem solve. They did great!  Our first hike Monday morning was gorgeous. Kyle knows just the right hiking spots!  My best friend and partner. Love going on adventures together!  Time away to explore and talk together was priceless. I was feeling such great happiness.  Away from home with my favorite crew in the whole wide world. Doesn't get much better then this!  Family pic in the woods! Great hike and beautiful nature to explore.  Here they are! So many times the boys would say to Kyle and I, "I really like camping," or "This is really so much fun!" As always we hope to sneak o
