Christmas in Spicer~

Image
Christmas wouldn't be complete without time together with Nana and GG, Phil, Sara and all our cousins! We always say how special it is that we get to go spend time at the cabin at Christmas time!  These smiles are so great!! Just the guys! Time with cousin Joe is always the greatest because we don't get to see him much. Living so far apart is really the pits! The cousins really enjoy the time they get together. I took this pic from upstairs! It is a cool shot of what Christmas looks like for Us!  Snow Boarding for hours NEVER gets old!!!! Bubba heading down! Jman cruising on his new board! Drew had fun going through the woods on his board. Caleb goes, "This is what Christmas break is all about!" And jumps, of course! Nice Micah! Fun day at the YMCA together!! Drew brought his new basketball to try out and the rest of us had fun shooting hoops. Lots of boys! Thankful Callie felt good enough to play with us after having surgery right befo

Christmas Day 2016~

7am is the time it ALL begins!!! The stirring began around 6:30a and then like clockwork Drew and Micah shouted "GoGoGo!!!" as they ran up the stairs to Caleb and Jacob's room to say, "Merry Christmas guys! It's Time!!"  And here it begins... Basketball shoes, Menomonie gear, snow boards, sleds, etc.... A little tired after BUT lovin' the gifts! I think between Kyle and I and Santa we nailed it! A pic before breakfast started. Carmel rolls, eggs, sausage, fruit, juice, and yogurt! It was nice to lounge and relax for the morning before packing up to leave for grandma and grandpas house. I enjoy listening to the boys talk about their gifts and hear their laughter just being together. At grandmas the house always smells so good and is packed with gifts and family. It's the best to be able to go their Christmas day. Fun to check in and see what everyone has gotten for Christmas so far and what special memories they made with their fami

Christmas Eve 2016~

That special excitement is always in the air on Christmas Eve day. Kyle and I could tell the boys would be a bit more crazy today because they knew Santa was coming tonight. We had a nice big breakfast together and headed out sledding for the morning to bust off some of that wildness! Love those days when it's just the 6 of us laughing and playing with no where to go! It was a really special day together. All handsome and ready for the Christmas Eve service. Drew had some friends coming so he was really excited to sit with them and have them join us at church. Church looked so pretty as we pulled in... We love celebrating with our church family each Christmas. Thankful to celebrate the birth of our Savior and so thankful to call Cedarbrook home for our family this Christmas. Here it is!!! These smiles have been beaming all day....Santa Clause IS coming to town!!! Priceless.

Leading up to Christmas~

D.A.R.E Graduation for Drew! It was fun to see all the 5th graders wearing their matching D.A.R.E t-shirts and enjoying this event together.  We had fun hanging out with our church family reenacting the Christmas story in a fun way! Our group had no trouble having a little fun. Our boys vote this was way better then singing in front of church on a Sunday morning! Ha!  Practicing our IN/OUT song was Hilarious!! However, we got our act together and did Amazing!  AND the best part was Micah was Joseph!! Look at that hair! If you got up nice and close to Micah he had a great smell of coffee because his beard was made of coffee grounds! Brilliant. I'm not sure if  he loved taking that in for 2 hours but he did Great.  We've had a few really good sledding days together already. Some a bit colder then others but these boys don't feel the temp difference like I do!  Jake is so brave tubing it scares me. He jumps right on his belly and takes off head first! I'l

Christmas Memories~

The boys and I have always found our time while daddy is leading mission trips or youth events to be very special. I have never looked at this time as a dread or wished Kyle didn't have to leave us. I'm always so very proud of the leader Kyle is and that God uses my husband to draw others closer to Him. And I feel very honored to be able to support him and be his wife. When Kyle leaves I try to break up the week with some fun things we wouldn't normally do on a given week and make it fun! The week went by really fast and we ended our time together before daddy came home by going to the Old Log Theatre with my family. It was really fun! We saw The Reluctant Dragon, and it was really cute. We had fun at Davanni's for lunch before heading home and gave lots of hugs to grandma and grandpa and all our cousins. It was a fun way to kick off the Christmas season!  Now we are starting to bake and get ready for Christmas! The house looks and smells more like Christmas every

Crayola Experience!

I had one special day with Jacob at Crayola Experience at the Mall of America! My sweet friend Amy and I decided to take our 4k babies on a fun day together! It was really fun and so nice to get out of the house for a day while Kyle was gone to Honduras.  This place is really cool as Lia and Jake got to experience so many neat tech and hands on activities together. It was fun to watch them figure out what to do at each station and explore! They had a blast. Our favorite spot was watching our crayons melt in this machine and see it form into different molds...we liked making rings the best!  We all decided chicken fingers and french fries with lots of dips sounded really yummy for lunch! Ha! Look at all Jake's honey mustards and ketchups!  I have really enjoyed coloring with Jake lately and it was really fun to color with him here. We colored this car and then put it into the computer to see it come to life! Super sweet! Jake had fun climbing at the play land wh
