Fargo Marathon is Coming.....

Image
The Fargo Half Marathon is coming in 4 weeks and I went for a 16 mile long run this morning to prepare and get ready for the race! I felt great today as I took off at 5:30AM to squeeze in my training before any little boys woke up! The morning was quiet and peaceful as I listened to the birds chirping, watched 4 deer run right in front of me and prayed and thanked God for life and the many blessings He continues to pour over me each day. I am thankful for my morning runs as it allows me to spend time with God and reflect on my priorities as wife, mom, friend and runner. I love this quote from a favorite elite runner of mine, Deena Kastor: "Love yourself, for who and what you are; protect your dream and develop your talent to the fullest extent." The Fargo race is on May 22nd!!!! Count down is on!!!! May my dream come true of running the race for Christ and putting in my very best for Him!!!! Micah took this picture when I got home this morning. He says, "Mommy, I am so p

Our New Boat!!!

Saturday was our first day out in our new boat! It is hard to believe we were able to take it out in April! The weather was a bit cool when boating, but felt amazing when we stopped to hike and have lunch. In fact, it actually felt more like summer weather than spring! Here is the captain of the boat. Kyle couldn't be more proud of his 1993 Sea Ray Bow Rider! The rest of us are really excited too and can't wait to have daddy take us tubing, go camping and have lots of picnics out on many of the islands on Rainy Lake. We feel very blessed to have purchased such a nice boat that will allow us to spend time together as a family and with friends. Andrew is so proud of his new boat! What a fun day we had taking our boat out for its first real ride! Micah loves having picnics and he is enjoying his lunch on Rainy Lake! Caleb was a little unsure about the whole boating adventure, but since all of us were loving every minute of our day he joined right in with the fun and played in t

Happy Easter!

This morning was beautiful as the sun was shining and the boys were excited about the easter bunny and a day of celebrating our Risen King! Andrew's cubbie verse was "He is not here; he is risen!" (Luke 24:6) So when Andrew woke up this morning he shouted "He is not here! He is risen!" What fun it is to pass on the wonderful stories of our Lord to our children! They also got really excited to see a candy trail all the way to their easter baskets! The bunny came and left lots of yummy goodies to enjoy:) They were thrilled! Andrew and Micah were busy decorating this great bunny cake! They gave the bunny a nice striped shirt and lots of jelly beans for his face! We also had a fun weekend celebrating Easter with our nana and gg! We were so thankful that they could come and hang out with us for a few days! We had a blast going on an egg hunt, going to the park, doing crafts, reading stories, playing with bubbles and going out for pancakes! Thank you nana and gg for
