Fun memories leading up to Christmas!

Image
It's always lots of fun getting ready for Christmas!!! The boys have their favorite cookies they like to bake now and remember some fun traditions we try to fit into the Christmas season. Take a peak!! Jake is crazy about squishing cookie dough balls with his glass cup and then putting sprinkles on top! We like to do this one when no other brother is around bc he likes to squish and sprinkle by himself!  Our bubba man is an expert at cut out cookies, and these are by far his fave to eat! Micah jumped in here and helped with the cut outs too! Forget to take a pic!  Drew's master pieces...  Drew is great at frosting the cut outs and likes to put lots of frosting on them!  Going to the winter parade is lots of fun to do together and the boys love it!! We've started gathering quite a crew of parade friends that like to join too!  We smile bc the boys inch closer and closer to the parade floats...by the time a few have gone by the boys are almost half way ou

Wisconsin Dells! 2015

Wisconsin Dells, we are back again!!! Another great couple of days away with these guys!!! Chillin' together in our awesome suite~ Fantastic smiles!!!! The Wild West Waterpark was a favorite this week! We had a blast running around here getting water dumped on us and diggin' all the fun tube rides. Our fave was the "black hole" and the little guys always enjoyed the family rides. So fun to watch the boys start playing together without Kyle and I. They had so much fun! These boys love water!!!- had to get a solo pic of each of them!! Drew loved the wave pool this week! Micah's eyes started bothering him with all the chlorine so Kyle and I picked up these sweet goggles. Totally took care of that problem, not to mention they gave Micah a really funny new look! Another boy who loved the wave pool! Caleb's eyes were also in need of some goggles with all the "burning" he said he felt from the chlorine. This guy loved the wild wes

Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgiving has become a very special holiday for us as we've created so many wonderful memories together as a family!  Here are some of our favorite traditions to our Thanksgiving weekend! Each year, the boys always receive ornaments from nana and GG and grandma and grandpa at Thanksgiving. These guys will have collected so many great ones by the time they get old enough to have a tree of their own! Super fun! We also enjoy running in the Turkey trot at our local gym, Mainstreet Fitness, here in Menomonie Wi.  We always ask the boys which race they'd like to do, the 5k or the 1.5 mile run/walk. This year Drew and Kyle took on the 5k and the rest of the boys and I participated in the 1.5mile. Here is our warm up pic! We are ready to rock it!! Weather was great. Micah and Caleb took 1st and 2nd place in the 1.5mile and had lots of fun running together! We had hot cocoa and coffees after and gave everyone high 5's and wished them a happy thanksgiving. We have re

Caleb~

I wanted to pause a moment in the everyday chaos to write this blog about Caleb James. He is our 3rd son, who brings a special sweetness to our family that all of us adore. His smile anytime of day brightens up our whole house. We love his new look with his new glasses this year and its even better when he looks at us with his glasses all foggy! Caleb always brings Happiness to our day because he makes life simple. Life in his world is full of giggles, snuggles, playing with brothers, being tickled by daddy, reading lots of books with mommy and soaking up whatever kindle time he can get his hands on. In this last month, Kyle and I wanted to capture a few moments to never forget with our bubba boy this fall. We couldn't be more proud of who God made him to be. Caleb has been showing off his mad math skills with us. He has math fact worksheets that he brings home and likes when daddy sits right by him.  Love that little smile as he is proving to dad he is one smart dude! Caleb

Time with my Guys

As we waved goodbye to Kyle in our driveway, Micah prayed that daddy would have a safe trip to Nicaragua and that he would be able to help people have clean water to drink.  Kyle had a great opportunity to serve God in Nicaragua this month. We are always so proud of him and the way God uses him to bring others closer to Christ. But while he was gone, the boys and I made some special memories together. These boys are growing up so fast and it is so fun to join them in what they love to do and celebrate with them. And that is exactly what we did this week!  Drew played in 2 tournaments this week, and had an absolute blast! Their team played AWESOME together!!  This is Drew after his 1st 4th grade tournament all sweaty, but look at that smile! He is FULL of JOY! Drew just loves being on the court being aggressive and being an excellent team player. I was so proud of the way he passed the ball to his team mates and encouraged them to shoot!  Jake's favorite thing to do i
