  1. Flag Football comes to an end-  Caleb wrapped up his football season with a few games under the lights at Carson Park last Saturday. It was a great season, him and his buddy Carter were on the same team!   2. Back to the Track-  Bringing back some speed again! Excited to do some track work and begin to improve on those 5k and 10k times! Turkey trot in November will be my first speedy attempt. My body is feeling really good post marathon! 3. Time with Caleb I really enjoyed time with Caleb yesterday on their 5th grade field trip to the environmental site! It was really fun to hang with him and his friends. He was so sweet grabbing my hand on occasion and making sure to eat lunch with me no matter where his friends were eating. He wasn't even concerned. Caleb has the sweetest heart, and it was a really special day with him.  4. Praying for my boys. W hile at the field trip I took notice of the kids Caleb is going to school with each and every day. It was fun to see

 1. Micah's 7on7 team played in the championship game last Sunday and took 2nd place!! He had a great time and I wished I could have seen him play. It was really fun to hear all about it! 1. Time to Rest! After the marathon I went back to my parents and had fun telling my family all about the race. Then Kyle and I took off for a few days to the fall pastors retreat. It was a wonderful time away to rest.  3. Post Marathon meal!  After we got all checked into our room, I was starving and ready for food!! I ordered a cheddar burger and French fries and it tasted so good!!!   4. LGCC Pastors Retreat! I am so glad I went. It was so refreshing for me to join Kyle at this conference. Each year looks different in who comes, but I found it really nice to connect with people but also rest and read on my own. I decided I am going to go every year if possible.  Jamie and Kyle are such great friends and had a lot of fun together getting the conference kicked off in a fun way!! Th

Twin Cities Marathon 2019 Recap!

Image
I had the best time last weekend running in the Twin Cities Marathon and it has taken me until now to give a full recap! I am beyond grateful to have been able to run 26.2 miles in complete Joy!  I was so glad to connect with my ministry sister and friend, Erica, before the race began. We chatted right up until it was almost too late! Thankfully we did not miss the gun start and I was able to grab a nice spot in corral 1 to get the first few miles started comfortably.  Around mile 5 I decided that I needed to use the bathroom since I wasn’t able to before the race started and for the first time ever I used the portable bathroom during a race! Bummed to stop on course but I knew I’d be so much more comfortable for the rest of the morning.  From there, I never looked at pace, only my heart rate, which for the day was my goal. I also met some new friends along the course and had fun visiting with many runners. So many people were like me holding back the pace for a nice solid finish.

1. Fall birthday parties! The boys enjoy celebrating their fall birthdays with family. Last weekend we enjoyed celebrating with my family. Drew and Jake loved their gifts and being with family,  Elijah and Jake got matching hats! I can't believe how tall these 2 are getting!  Kara turned 40 on Monday, and I so love this lady inside and out. I enjoy our chats throughout the week or getting texts from her that make me smile. The years continue to fly by for us and we aren't getting any younger, but I wouldn't want to get older with anyone else. She gets me through some pretty tough days at times. Fun to celebrate her!   2. Caleb  and I have begun our Wednesday night special time together this year! One of my life highlights has been to spend Wednesday nights with my guys when they were in 5th grade, the year before youth group. It brings out so many wonderful memories for me with the guys. So this year I get a whole school year dedicated to Wednesday nights with C
