Priceless Moments

Image
Andrew and I have had a lot of fun in these final weeks before our new little arrival comes! I am 38 weeks pregnant today, and getting terribly front heavy! However, these last days and moments alone with Andrew have been absolutely priceless. Andrew loves playing with mommy in the snow outside, and since the weather has been much warmer (20s-30s) we have been going out everyday! We play in the snow with kitchen supplies or bath toys, go to the park and swing together, build snow castles (of which Andrew crashes instantly!), and go on walks with daddy and Cody. We also have enjoyed going to storytime at the library on Thursday mornings. Andrew is getting better at sitting on his carpet square for a duration on the readings. Other times he is walking up to the lady reading and looking really close at the book being read aloud or organizing carpet squares not being occupied! Andrew loves singing songs and dancing with his bean bag at the end of the storytime hour. It has been such a joy

Is this just a stage of life? I hope so!

As you can all see by the limited number of posts in the last few weeks it has been incredibly busy. I really hope that as the spring comes and our new baby that my life gets a little less busy. It has all been great and I have loved all of the things that i have had a chance to do over the past weeks but it has been a lot. The class that I had the chance to be in last week in Denver was great. It was so nice to be able to catch up with many friends during the week along with many very good conversations about ministry and our denomination as a whole in out class. It was good for me to learn more of who we are in the Covenant Church, and to just spend time thinking about how i can better serve Christ in our home church. I am heading out once again this weekend and would love your prayers as we go. I will be heading to the cities with a group of about 50 youth from our church for " ATF ", Acquire The Fire, this is a conference held at the Target Center where 15,000 St

Visiting Nana in Denver!

Image
We had a great time visiting Nana in Denver, Colorado! Kyle, Andrew and I loved the warm weather! It was in the 50s for most of our visit, which felt like a heat wave! It was so fun to tour Denver and take a peak at all Nana has been busy doing. Andrew and I enjoyed seeing the seminary where Nana goes to classes and studies. We also had fun seeing her apartment that was full of books and study supplies! Wow, are we proud of her! She is really doing well and loving the environment she is surrounded in. As a bonus, we also had a chance to see GG (Grandpa) and play with him as well! Andrew had a great time playing with a few of his new toys he recieved with GG at the apartment. GG and Andrew always have fun laughing and playing together. During our visit, Kyle and I participated in the Midwinter Conference held by our Covenant Church Denomination. We enjoyed worshipping and fellowshipping with other youth pastors and their wives and kids. This has always been such an encouraging time for

Weekend at Pikangikum!

Image
It is hard to believe that it is already Thursday and for the first time I have a chance to sit down and tell you all about my weekend serving The Pikangikum First Nation kids from northern Ontario, Canada. 19 of us from our church, school, a few from southern MN joined together to put on a Christian retreat weekend in conjunction with Colleen Estes (who is a missionary that we support) for the 7Th grade students from the reservation. We left early in the morning on Friday, only to be turned back at the border. We were told that we would need to Wait 2 hours until the immigration office arrived to check us in, (Canada was closed for the time). Once making it across the boarder we drove for about 8 hours straight north, which I did not even know was possible, and when we came to the end of the road, we took a right and went for another 50 miles on logging roads only open when it is frozen in the winter, they were terrible driving conditions. We arrived at camp a little tired but ready t
