Gunderson Adventures.... where all 6 of Us live life to the fullest!

My heart can hardly stand the fact that Micah is almost a 6th grader! How can it be?!??Really I AM excited for our Micah man to explore his horizon and get to do some new things in the fall in middle school. Like meeting new friends and getting his own schedule, trying out band and having homework!! He’s so ready for something new!  Micah’s smile shouts it all about how he lives each and everyday...one great big smile!! 😃 Micah and Caleb started playing baseball outside. They both start games next week!! Practice up boys because we are excited to come cheer!! Sunflower seeds and sunglasses here we come!!😎 Jake and I find small gaps in the schedule when we have some special time for just us! On Friday my sweet friend Amy and I went out for the night and had such a great time together at the Rend Collective concert down at Northwestern College!!❤️It was so much fun. Friendship is such a gift and we just had a blast singing and jumping and laughing together. God you always make me smile by your many blessings in my life. Amy is such a JOY⭐️to have in my life!! Hoping to go to another concert or fun adventure again soon!! Blessed beyond measure by your love for me, Lord!!💜❤️

Awww, what a great start to our week with an April snowstorm that came so fierce that all 4 of my sweet boys got another snow day to stay home from school with me on Monday!! It was a treat to stay home together and be completely lazy together! And how perfect to be able to all watch the Boston marathon together?!?! So perfect.  Des Linden did an outstanding job on Monday winning the Boston marathon in some terrible weather conditions!!! Such a rockstar and I love how all the rain and wind fit together perfect for her to go get it done. A great race to watch and Des is my favorite elite runner to cheer for. She works hard and races strong and steady. Incredible race!!! This is how much snow we got on Monday and it was still snowing!!❄️Thankful the forecast shows warmer temps by next week!! A weekend that ends with eating chocolate chip cookies as a family means everything’s going to be alright. Weekends always go by so fast leaving me wondering,  Did I snuggle enough with my boys? Did I see them shoot enough hoops?  Was I a good listener to all their stories and things they wanted to talk about? A mother’s heart❤️The best job in the world. And when you end the weekend with eating chocolate chip cookies together, it makes you feel like you’ve done the best job you could. And I think that’s what matters the most. Do your best, leave the rest! Have a great week and embrace each moment with your kids. And try my family’s chocolate chip recipe! It’s our favorite!!❤️

Yeppers!! An April snow day hit us hard yesterday meaning we got to hang out!!! We had such a blast and I totally had to laugh because I have been getting in the swing of spring and gearing up for baseball games and running races!! Oops, just kidding!! Let’s take it back a bit and bring out some more fresh snow and another hang out day together. No worries!!❄️Spring weather can be so silly!! Nana and Gg gave us DQ gift cards for Easter so we decided to go get a treat and pick up some video games too. Why Not??!! Ice cream can always make a day feel special!! After supper we went to the movies to see I Can Only Imagine for the $5 Tuesday movie deal! It was such a great movie and so much fun to go with the Ralph family! It was great to see other friends from church there too!🍿 April Snow Days don’t have to be a drag but can be packed with fun and great memories!!! Don’t stay long snow because we have baseball spring training and races to train for!❄️❄️But thanks for a fun day for us!!!

It was a full and wonderful 3 day weekend spent as a family celebrating Easter together. We loved spending time at home with our boys just laughing and chatting while baking Easter cookies, dying hard boiled eggs, and making fun-colored jello eggs together!! Oh and watching Jumanji and playing card games too, Jake has become awesome at phase 10!!  They are all so funny to Kyle and I....gotta say we are sure spicing it up around here with a middle schooler in the house! Drew is a hoot and lately has been singing all the new and cool music jams with us in the house. So many personalities packed into our home this weekend and we LOVED every minute!!
