Kyle is our new lead pastor at Cedarbrook!

Image
It was a really special weekend for us. Kyle and I went into our Sunday evening meeting at church wanting Gods direction and what is ultimately the best plan for Cedarbrook going forward as Remy enters into his final years. We felt emotionally worn as our home life has been a challenge with our two middle school boys and just the overall chaos of life right now. As people we love and care for in our church family entered into the auditorium prior to the meeting, we felt so moved by the holy spirit. It was a very powerful night. The vote went extremely well, only 1 vote shy of 100%, which is awesome!! We tearfully went in front of church to pray and celebrate this new transition for our family. I know with all my heart that this is God's great plan for us! I have known that God was preparing Kyle to someday lead a church. Not knowing what church, I am completely humbled and honored that Cedarbrook Church is where God has been leading us to take this big leap of faith. Not ful

Drew posted about us getting out on the lake and it just warmed my heart. Love our family time together! It was the BEST Mother's day gift!! So thankful I am the mom to these 4 boys!  Caleb and Jake made me the cutest magnets for our refrigerator! I loved the cards and decorated bags too!  Thank you my sweet and thoughtful boys!

May  is here and the boys have switched into a whole different season of sports! We are now busy with basketball, tennis and baseball!!   As crazy as our day to day gets, it is fun to join the boys in what they have fun doing.  Drew-  has started playing with his Playmaker team and they did outstanding last weekend playing in their 1st tournament of the season. Our next tournament will be on May18th in Coon Rapids, MN. Drew has also joined the middle school tennis team. He says it is not a sport he is real good at yet but he is really enjoying something different. He is doubles partners with his friend Noah, which he enjoys. Our Drew man likes to be involved with his friends and school activities. Even though this can make for very long days for him with school and sports, he is really enjoying it.    Micah  has started his baseball season! His team is very good and the coach is excellent. We are excited for a fun season cheering for this 6th grade team!! Tonight we head

Mission Possible weekend!

A quick highlight  weekend in April!  Micah played in a 3on3 tournament with some buddies and they came in 1st place!! Micah so enjoys basketball and it is his favorite sport at this point. He's hoping to jump into another 3on3 tournament soon. Run 4 Water  for the Mission Possible weekend was a hit for these boys!! They had a fun morning running the 5k together and Peter totally dominated all of them.  This crew joined me in the donut dash  that was a fun addition to the run this year!! 1st grade buddies!! The Comedy show  was really funny. I don't know what it is but I think comedy shows are so hilarious! It was fun to laugh together as a family. The boys all set at the comedy show! Fun weekends together must be remembered!! Just wanted to share a few highlights from our fun weekend supporting our church and being with our church family.

Eau Claire Marathon recap!!

Image
Eau Claire Marathon 2019 The weather leading up to the race reported a rainy race day, but as the days became closer, the sunshine and temps warmed up. very little wind. cool and crisp morning. It was race day. I woke up race morning feeling ready. I read my daily verse and it was perfect for me!!  Joyful. Patient. Faithful.  Romans 12:12- Be joyful in hope,  patient in affliction. faithful in prayer.  I soaked in these words as I ran all morning.  Packet pick up photo! Feelin' Ready!!   Race the first few miles I kept telling myself to be patient, be patient, be patient. I wanted to try holding it back a bit in those beginning miles- not sure this helped me because I felt spent at the end anyway?  I thought it was really fun to have a pacer on bike the entire course! This guy started me out and then a girl took over biking with the 3rd place women sign. The miles began to wear on me...still focused on getting it done with endurance but I was feeling th

All about Jake.

JAKE~   has been busy!  On Wednesday nights Jake and Caleb go to the Awana program at the Alliance church. Jake finished one of his books this year and he had the opportunity to throw a pie in one of the leaders faces! It was a fun night celebrating all the kids hard work in memorizing God's word this year. Jake's art work at school this spring looks great! I can't believe 1st grade is almost complete. The spring concert was a success!! Jake did great and I thought it was very well done. Only a little bloody nose for Jake at the end of the concert! So he had to run out of the concert quick, glad I could be there to help him out. He was able to jump right back in line with his class, no biggie. Just a memory maker for us! We love you Jake and it is so fun to celebrate what you are up to.

Easter weekend! 2019

Image
The sun was shining so we took off on our bikes on Good Friday, no school day! It was a great way to start our weekend together. Favorite picnic lunch spot and love those smiles! ☀️ One of our Easter highlights we enjoy each year is the annual easter egg hunt that nana and gg come prepared for! We waited while they hid all the eggs at the park before walking down. Each boy has their own color egg and a few sparkle ones that have money in them! They love this. Some eggs were harder to find this year! The boys did great and I made them hold up their color egg they each had! Drew did have a great time even if the smile looks a little unsure. Jake found all his eggs first, Drew claims his were hidden in the hardest places!  Cedarbrook held their 1st egg hunt for everyone this year and the weather was just perfect! Fun to see so many new faces. Easter morning baskets! Lots of peanut butter eggs and bunnies! The boys like to wake up and look for their baskets.
