Week 5 Gunderson COVID-19 Schedule Another week complete! The weather warmed up a bit and the boys had a great week 5! Micah, Caleb and Jake took off for a bike ride to McDonalds.... yeah a bit far for my liking so talked to them about not going quite so far from mom! 😳 Soaking in some resting time and watching Jake and Kasson shooting hoops. Kasson has been over a lot lately spending time with the boys. I got Jake to sit and look at a Highlight magazine with me so I was a happy mom! I so enjoyed some snuggle/reading time with my little man. Friday was fun seeing both of our parents. It was Rick's 65th birthday!! Nice to see them for a short visit. 🥳  Then we went to see my mom and dad and had a nice visit out on the deck with treats of course! The weather was so gorgeous and made for a really nice time seeing them and catching up in person. So good for our souls.  This weekend brought us some sunshine and boat time! Micah had a super fun and easy homework assignment to complete yesterday in baking something on his own.... he chose homemade cookie bars! It was fun hearing him in the kitchen getting everything out and doing it on his own! He did great.   Micah's bars were a hit and I think he really liked them too! love my baker!  The week seems to be going by quickly.  I tend to take lots of pics of the guys doing things around the house so I can remember our days in COVID-19 so this morning I thought I'd take a quick selfie so you can see how I'm holding up! All in all pretty good! Nice to have the crew at the house and nice to not be driving places for sports and school activities- BUT I'm getting lazy on my cleaning over here and need to focus again and start some spring cleaning soon! Week 4  Gunderson COVID-19 Schedule Each week we get a little more silly together, a bit more creative with our time, and more relaxed at being home together. I'm actually secretly enjoying this time, I know the boys are missing baseball and friends, teachers and at times the school routine, but I gotta say I love having them here too! Our slower pace, Kyle home more, and time together has been such a gift to me.... Kyle and Bonfires! Just cracks me up because Kyle could have a bonfire every single night for our family and feel like he is in heaven. I love sitting outside with him and visiting together because he is so enjoying the moment! And I'm getting better about cleaning up supper quick and getting out there! Easter Morning!  Still those same Easter smiles, just bigger boys! Fun tradition of finding their baskets and bringing them to the family room and digging in! Friday's Each Friday we try to come up with something new to do that takes us out of our normal routine. And each Friday has been really fun and different. Last Friday we went to this fun and unique sculpture park near Taylor's Falls and we had so much fun. If you've never been here, go check it out!!   There were so many art sculptures to look at and lots to walk around and see! It was a fun new destination!! We went home and that evening Kyle made this huge bonfire!! We so enjoyed our Friday together as a family! Friday's are a special day for Kyle and I to share with each other or as a family. Today we plan to ride our bikes on some new trails and then Kyle and I are going to go to EC to SamsClub and grab Chipotle for a treat! The weather is suppose to be warmer then our cold weekly temps, so I am really looking forward to that. Week 3  Gunderson COVID-19 Schedule Week 3 went by super fast as the weather was gorgeous and we were busy playing outside, but also because we were getting ready for Easter! Check out how we prepared. School work!  Zoom classroom meetings are in full swing and Jake and Caleb look forward to seeing their class and teachers each Monday. Fort time!  The guys spent hours in the backyard working on our fort, it looks so cool! Lots of patio time! We spent a ton of time out on our patio this week! Eating meals, shooting hoops, enjoying bonfires and hanging out together. We enjoy our patio so much. Sometimes I even enjoy some patio time all by myself! Craft and Games time! I love that the boys decided to play Boggle together, fun to hear them play and the words they came up with. Week 2  Gunderson COVID-19 Schedule Week 2 seemed to go smoother for us. I think because we are getting into our schedule and feeling more flow to our every day. Drew commented this week how having a schedule has really helped him and he likes how we lay out our days.  Bean bag tournament on the patio! Bonfires at night, the weather this week was so nice! Connection time, so needed for me to see Amy! I know we are not sitting 6ft apart but it was so needed for both of us to connect in person. We plan to meet up each week to connect. week 1 connection time. Looking forward to a nice weekend ahead with the guys. We are hoping to repaint Drew and Micah's bedroom and get rid of Micah's bunk bed. And reorganize their closet! I hope it doesn't rain all day today.
