Gunderson Adventures.... where all 6 of Us live life to the fullest!

Holy Smokes, I just finished a full 2 weeks of subbing as a 4k teacher (no Friday school days) and I am wiped!! It was a wonderful experience and I was so glad to help out a friend who wanted 2 more weeks home with her baby girl.  I grew to love the kids and had a blast putting my teaching into action on a full day everyday fill in. All that to say, I am tired.... Kyle was a huge help with our boys making it possible and it was fun to see what an awesome team we are at this!! As the boys grow older, I could see myself subbing more and possibly teaching a classroom again. It was so fun to feel that joy again in teaching!! I truly enjoyed my time with those sweet 4kers! I promised them all I would be back!!❤️ Easter weekend is coming and I am so excited for a fun filled weekend as a family celebrating that Christ IS Risen!!! 💛 Happy Easter!! 🐣 

Fun weekend but also a great experience to head to the state tournament for basketball as a 6th grader. Drew was so pumped as well as the team to travel to Greenbay to play some basketball. Although they played teams that brought some tough competition to the court, it was a great experience for them. Fun cheering on these Mustangs and making memories together! Drew is blessed to have made such great friendships in the sports he loves. Isaac and Drew will start playing on the AAU basketball team in Eau Claire next week bringing us more adventures to come in basketball.🏀  While in Greenbay I scoped out a 5k race to do and had a blast. I came in 1st place female in 19:20!!! 2nd place overall. I received a beer mug for my prize😂😂 It was a lot of fun racing in Greenbay!! Weekends like these always go by so fast!! I hope we always remember Drew’s 1st experience going to the state tournament with his team. He loves basketball! It is so fun to cheer for the sports your kids love and work h

So glad Kyle is home safe from Honduras! Sounded like an amazing week with an outstanding team from Cedarbrook. Everyone had great attitudes and enjoyed a really great week of serving.  The weekend flew by with Kyle coming home and then celebrating his 37th birthday on Sunday as well! We had a nice low key family day, which we strive for on Sundays...rest after church, go for a walk, family supper together...and so that’s what we did! Except we added a little fun with going to waterfront during the boys baseball and basketball practices, plus cake and singing too to top it off!  Great day for my favorite guy!! I love this picture of Kyle because it so describes my husband.❤️ Kyle loves God, he loves his family and others, and he loves life filled with adventure each day!!! Happy birthday to the man who is my Rock and an amazing dad to our 4 boys.  On the running front lately the weather has been so amazing and I’m enjoying my runs with out a million layers on! The week has really gone by fast for us with Kyle gone and it being spring break for us. Monday was a lot of fun shopping and trying on new styles for spring! The boys love shopping with mom and Old Navy was a real hit this time!! I guess khaki pants are the spring style for middle school boys these days! We had a blast. I had to make a stop at my new favorite spot, Trader Joe’s! Thanks mom for showing me all the great deals and finds there!  My dad came to stay with me a few nights this week and we had a nice time together. My dad and I have such a great relationship. We painted Kyle and my bedroom together while the boys checked in on us every 5minutes and played outside. We also played Phase 10 with the boys and walked up to our family favorite spot to eat, Cancun for lunch. The sun has been shining so bright all week so it has been fun to sit outside in our camping chairs watching the boys shoot hoops and visiting.  Our lunch today at Cancun!! 🌮  Tomorrow night Kyle comes home and

We had such a wonderful weekend spending time with grandma and grandpa. We left right after school on Friday, the starting of spring break, and came home today.  We visited my grandma and grandpa Stegeman on Saturday! So fun to visit with them and the boys had fun playing pool.  My grandparents are always so nice to visit with and Grandma really makes me smile, she is just so cute. I feel so blessed to have 3 of 4 grandparents still alive and it is so fun that my sweet boys get a chance to know and love them too! They really enjoy visiting them and always ask when we can go again. Grandpa Curt is always a special grandpa to go visit because he has a swimming pool at his place!! Grandpa likes to sit by the pool and watch these crazy boys swim and play while drinking his coffee.  We watched lots of movies together this weekend too-  Coco and Daddy’s Home 2! Grandma popped lots of popcorn and grandpa took over the last night, always letting the boys drink sprite or rootbeer. I just love t

Love these art posts!! Jacob kindergarten spring 2018 6years old Isn’t this a great view of Chicago??!! In 7months I will be racing in the Chicago marathon!!! Beyond excited to take on this flat fast course! My body is doing so well with the miles and running these days.  This Honduras team is heading out today!! So very excited for ALL of them. For some it’s their 1st time ever going on a mission trip!! Praying for them all as they go today to see God in amazing ways and to have their lives changed by their fellowship together and with the people God brings around them to serve and love on. Yesterday was such a great day celebrating our awesome Micah guy!! I don’t think he stopped smiling all day long because he was so happy it was his special day😃 Hard to believe our beach babe is 11years old already!! Loving these speedy days with him as he grows up so fast each day. Micah you are loving, kind, funny, helpful and give the best kisses. Thankful God created you!! Breakfast time for our guy! He ordered a bacon 🥓 omelette for daddy to cook! 👨‍🍳 He said it was probably the BEST omelette he’s had yet.😁 Lunch out with our guy to Culvers. Totally a hot spot for us!! Micah loves his spicy chicken tenders and ranch. Lots of great discussion about what he’s looking forward in the new year. He says he’s really looking forward to going to bible camp with his bro Caleb and playing baseball this spring.👍🏼 Being 11 is going to be so great I think! Last weekend we wrapped up a great 5th grade basketball season. Micah played very well and has made 3, 3 point shots in his games combined in his last 2 tournaments!!  Along with many awesome layups that I took lots of pictures of!  He is a very strong basketball player and it was a blast cheering for him last Saturday in his final tournament of the year. Our whole crew was there cheering for our Micah man! They ended up with 3rd place! Micah was sad to see the season end, but he had a fun time with his team this year. Another beautiful day in Ft Myers today! The day went by so fast being our last full day here. This morning we went to the pool to swim until lunch. After lunch we loaded up and took the guys down to Ft Myers beach where Kyle and I had gone last night....they loved it! Edit Nana treated us to ice cream treats and then we took off to the beach! So fun to watch the guys playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean today💛We cleaned up a bit and enjoyed watching the sunset before supper. Sad today is our final day. Walking to supper together, soaking it all in my heart. We took the boys to a restaurant right on the beach. Our feet were in the sand and we had so much fun chatting about our week together!🌅 Such a great day and wonderful memories made this week! One of our favorite vacations taken as a family!
