Spring Fever!

Image
We were so excited to have weather in the 50's this week that we took advantage of it and went for a walk around the neighborhood! Although it took two strollers to go as a whole family, it was well worth the extra work. We had so much fun showing off Micah to the neighbors and church families! Andrew wore his new rubber boots and jumped out to hop in puddles along the way! We hope this finds you also enjoying the warm weather! Have a great week! Anna

Crazy Crazy Crazy!

Our life continues to be unbelievably busy. It has been such a great two weeks to be the father of two so wonderful boys. They are both very exhausting but amazing. They both sleep pretty well and I don't even wake up anymore at night, I know that Anna has to because she has to feed Micah, so that is a little selfish, but he only needs to do that once, we feel that we have it pretty easy, praise the Lord. Last week we were able to bring both the boys to church on Wednesday night for all the kids to see, they always bring a smile to all the kids, as they watch Andrew dance up front with the worship music, and Micah didn't seem to mind the music at all either, Wednesday nights have been such a blessing for Anna and I to be with the kids this year, we never want to miss one. Ministry has continued to be very busy, but great as well. I have been meeting with many students on a one to one basis about some more serious issues while we continue to have huge numbers of kids around for

Great TeamWork!

This week has been a busy week keeping up with our boys! On Monday Micah had a check up appointment at the clinic. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 ounces when we left the hospital last Thursday morning, and 8 lbs. 7 ounces at his doctor visit Monday! He looked great and had no signs of Jandice! Praise God for a healthy baby boy! Micah is a content little baby. He eats every three hours during the day! Micah's last feeding is at 11:00PM and sleeps until 3:30AM for a feeding, then wakes around 7:30AM. This schedule has been very consistent for us in the last week! We hope it continues! He is also doing well with Andrew making lots of noise and throwing balls all over our house. We are thankful he is so easy at this point because Andrew is a very busy child. I am more exhausted from Andrew than Micah! Tuesday afternoon Kyle came home from work and we went to Kmart and did some grocery shopping. Normally this would not have been a big deal with one little boy to manage. However, now with two Kyle

Welcome Home Micah!

Yesterday we welcomed Micah to his new home! It feels so great to be home together as a family. Kyle and I were really missing Andrew. His smile is so contagious and we were aching to be near him again. Grandma has taken great care of all of us since we all came home. She has spent time with Andrew this week and kept him on his normal routine. We have been so thankful for her as she has cleaned, cooked and changed many stinky diapers for us! Wow, praise God for Grandmas! Andrew is checking things out at home. He loves giving baby Micah kisses and pushing him in the baby swing. He also likes to sit in Micah's car seat and suck on his pacifier! This morning he helped give Micah a bath! Andrew is learning how to share his mommy and daddy too, and doing a super job so far! My body is healing remarkably well for having a c-section on Monday. Of course I am sore and need pain meds every 3 hours, but I am surprised that I feel good enough to be up and moving. In fact, Kyle and I went on

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp, but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Micah Robert Gunderson is HERE!

Well I guess the Gunderson Babies do not want to come without their own unique story. We would like you all to meet our new little boy Micah Robert Gunderson. Micah came into the world on Monday March 5th at 8:21 AM. There is a very long and interesting story that i will leave to tell you in person, but he was born in the city of Virginia, MN about 100 miles south of International Falls. About 2 hours after Kyle taking his night Quill to get ride of his clod Anna woke me up telling me that her water had broke. We took off and made a very quick 100 mile trip down and made it with plenty of time to spare. Once here we had about 4 hours of labor and only about 30 Min. of pushing things got interesting in a hurry, and Anna delivered our little Guy by Emergency C-section. It was a very hard time to sit in that room by myself not knowing if either of my family members would be OK, about 2 Min later my Dad walked through the door and gave me someone to listen to me a cry on his shoulder for h
