Andrew tries to play with daddy's new toy that he got for Christmas. It is so much fun to see our guys grow up. Drew is really a great bowler, check out his video! Andrew and I were also able to get him on his first ever snowmobile ride. He loved it. We drove in the park, up over the hills, and back to the house, it was great to hear him laugh and see his smile as he was going so fast, (around 10 MPH). We also saw the boys spend their first few nights in the same room. They are both getting so big. Andrew moved into a big boy bed, and Micah joined him in a new crib in the big room. The nights have both gone great. we hope this continues. Kyle

Happy New Year!

Image
Micah is playing with all the great toys he got for Christmas! He loves playing with his BIG brother Drew! Micah enjoys doing whatever Drew is doing and loves invading his personal space! Drew got a new train station for Christmas that he is absolutely facinated with! As long as Micah doesn't grab the train off its track, Drew doesn't mind his little buddy playing with him! Andrew has been busy since we came home from Christmas with our families, playing with all his great toys! We were greatly blessed with wonderful new toys and clothes for our boys. We had a wonderful Christmas celebrating Christs' birth and relaxing as a family. We are glad to be back to welcome the New Year at home with our IFalls friends and get back to routine. We wish all of you a fun and enjoyable New Year Celebration! Welcome 2008!

While we were gone!

Image
While Anna and I had our day's away, someone found their way into my office and had a little fun! Andrew thought it was th best thing that has ever happened in the whole world. My entire office was filled about waist deep with ballons, it was fairly funny! Have a good day. Kyle

North Shore Get-A-Way!

Image
Kyle and I were able to sneak away for two nights from the boys and had a great time! We stayed in Lutsen and hiked around beautiful Lake Superior. Temperance Falls was my absolute favorite as the falls were gorgeous! Kyle and I had a blast talking and laughing about our almost 6 years (Jan. 5th, 2008) together and were amazed at how much has happened since our life journey began. We prayed over our boys and enjoyed many conversations during calm and peaceful meals together. When our time away came to an end I thought, "Wow, I have the best husband in the world!" We always enjoy getting away to spend time together uninterupted, but couldn't be more excited to get back to our boys! Thank you Nana and GG for watching our boys as we got away on a well needed break!

Love You Grandma and Grandpa!

Image
Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us last weekend! We had a great time relaxing and playing with all my toys! Uncle Jesse and his friend Sarah Joy came also and took me to the park. I love when family comes to visit so I can show them all my toys, fishies and new words I am saying these days. Micah had fun snuggling with Grandpa and I loved reading stories with Grandma. This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my Grandpa, Grandma, Nana and GG! They are my very favorite friends. Hope you find something to be thankful for too this Thanksgiving! Love -Andrew

Micah is 8 months old!

Image
We can hardly believe our littest boy is already 8 months old! Micah is really busy moving around crawling and standing up holding on to furniture, toys and windows! He is pushing big toys around the floor standing up and walking! He is also learning how to climb upstairs. This kid is crazy busy! We are sure he will be walking by Christmas!

The ZOO!

Here is what our ZOO is like!

Happy Halloween!

Image
We had a little lion and monkey with us tonight as we enjoyed the evening watching our boys light up peoples faces with their costumes. We did a little trick-or-treating, but we spent most of our night at church at our "Fall Festival" Carnival. Andrew had a blast playing games and getting treats! He was a little sugar high when we got back home. Micah was busy crawling around and impressing everyone with his amazing crawling and standing up abilities. We can't believe how fast our littlest guy is growing up! Andrew had fun coloring a pumpkin with us this year. Take a peak at the Gundersons amazing Pumpkins!

Big Bro Twin Cities Champion/Little Sis Big Woods 1/2 Marathon Champion

Image
My brother and I are the crazy runners in our family! We took on the Twin Cities Marathon challenge on October 7th and trained like mad to get ready for the event. We began the morning feeling great and ready to take on the challenge before us, yet not knowing only one of us would finish. Ben was taking on his first marathon and was looking forward to finishing and enjoying this wild adventure! I however have done a few of these already and was aimed to kick some butt in the process. So, different goals, but the same idea in mind-lets run the race for Christ. The race did not go as planned for me. The weather was extremely hot and humid and it totally took over my body. All I can really remember is thinking, "Wow it is really hot and I am really sweating!" With little to drink I passed out at mile 10 of the marathon! My time at that point was 1 hour 7 minutes..... on track for an amazing marathon. Truly discouraged I attempted to get back in the race to pass out AGAIN at mil

Happy Birthday Andrew!

Image
What a big boy! Alex and Asher are Andrew closest friends. Alex loves helping Andrew feel special and always includes him in on activities. Asher loves wrestling with Andrew and playing with balls. We had a great time celebrating Andrew's 2nd birthday! He had 2 great parties celebrating with Family and Friends. Although Andrew is still so young to grasp the total birthday effect, he definately felt loved and special. He are so blessed by Andrews energy and joy he brings to all of us each and everyday. We celebrated with family on October 7th at Nana and GGs house since we were in the cities. Grandpa made an amazing "Fishy" cake and put lots of love into it for Drew. This year Andrew had a "Fish" theme. Andrew took a little more interest in cake this year as he poked his fingers in the frosting to sneak a taste of his delicious cake. It was so fun celebrating with Great Grandmas and Grandpas, aunts and uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles, Grandparents, and us. Some

Andrew is 2!

Image
Wow how time flies! we are amazed that our little guy is already two. It seems like just yesterday that he was born and we were spending all of out time looking at him in his crib and playing with him on the floor. Now he is a real boy. Running around, kicking the football, cheering for touchdowns, and tackling his brother. Andrew brings us such joy as he is always laughing and smiling and thinking of new and creative ways to use all of his toys. We are all enjoying our fall, with trips to the cities and a Pastors retreat, jumping in to the leaves, and cool night walks we love this time of year. Take a look at these videos to see what we have been up to over the past few weeks.

We Got Forked!!

Image
We woke up this morning to a beautiful display of FORKS in our front yard! The Teens had a little fun at 1:30 this morning decorating our yard! We thought you would enjoy a peak at the fun they had! Andrew and Micah couldn't figure out why forks were in our yard. Here are some pictures of the boys enjoying the fun display!

Our Friend Lynn

Image
Lynn Peterson has been such a blessing to our family since our move here. Lynn watches Andrew and Micah every Wednesday night for Teens and for various ministry events that I go on with Kyle. It has been fun to watch Andrew and Lynn create such a special relationship. Above is a picture of Lynn and Andrew by their Marigolds they planted together in the late spring! They are still blooming and growing great! Thank you Lynn for loving and supporting us in youth ministry! We couldn't do it without you!

Welcome Fall!

Image
We had a fun day today as a family enjoying the beautiful Fall weather! Here is a picture of the boys and I by our tree in the front yard! After the Vikings game we hopped in the car and drove to Rainy River to throw rocks. Andrew loves throwing rocks in the water! This is his favorite family activity that we do. Here are some fun pictures of us at Rainy River! Kyle and my favorite season is Fall, so we are excited to welcome the beautiful leaves, cooler weather, yummy apples, hot cider and pumpkin carving to our home! God Bless all of our family and friends this week. We love and miss you all very much.

Little Gundys in the Bath Tub!

Image
The boys are adoring each other more than ever these days. Andrew thinks it is great to take a bath with Micah! He loves putting soap in his hair and rubbing it on his tummy! Micah thinks Andrew is so funny when he rubs his tummy with soap that he laughs uncontrollably at his silly BIG brother. Micah loves playing with Andrew not only in the tub, but also with Legos and Noahs Ark animals. What a joy it is for Kyle and I to watch Andrew and Micah begin to develop a relationship together. Although our boys are very close in age, we would have had it no other way. We are excited to see them grow up together and become best of friends.

Micah is 6 months old!

Image
It is hard to believe that my littlest man is already 6 months old! He is loving his carrots and cereal with added apple juice these days. Micah is beginning to be more comfortable sitting on his own and playing and laughing with Andrew. It won't be long Micah will be crawling and getting into everything! Micah is doing great sleeping. He goes to bed at 8:00PM and sleeps until 5:00 AM to eat and goes back to bed while mommy goes running. We are so proud of Micah and all his new accomplishments! Each morning I wake up being thankful I don't have to miss a moment of Micahs growth and development. Being a stay at home mommy is priceless! Thank you Matt and Sally for this adorable outfit! We were so excited to put it on him! Kyle loves dressing his boys like little sport stars!

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

Image
We had a great time at the cabin this last weekend relaxing and completing the summer with great memories. The boys had a great time with Nana and GG and experiencing the cabin for the first time. Andrew had fun throwing rocks in the lake and swimming in the hot tub. Micah enjoyed Nanas apple juice cereal and swinging with Nana in the early mornings down by the lake while mommy went running. Kyle enjoyed golfing with his dad and I loved the extra help with the boys and visiting with Terri. Although this summer was busy doing youth ministry, we had a blast watching the boys grow and learn more about Gods beautiful creation. As I am a teacher at heart, I always look forward to Fall and the routine it brings our family. I love evening family suppers and family time at night. Kyle and I are also so excited to begin Teens on Wednesday nights this fall! It will be fun to get new events and activities started at church for our teens. Please pray for God to continue to draw students to the p

Beach Day!

Image
While grandma and grandpa were visiting last week, we took the boys to the beach! We had a great time watching Micah admire the sand and beach atmosphere. Here are pictures of mommy and Micah and one of Micah sitting on his own! Enjoy!

RAIN DAY!

Dad had a day off and spent it with the boys, we went to the store, grocery shopping, had lunch at McDonald's play land, and had time left over to play in the rain, it was a busy day, check out the video to see Andrew at work. Kyle

Home at last!

Image
It has been such a great last few weeks, I have finally been home. I spent what felt like a majority of the summer traveling, I think I drove a little over 7,000 miles this summer for ministry trips which were all great but it is so nice to be home. It is fun to spend time with Anna and our boys just laughing together and playing together. Andrew is so into his Lego's now it is hard to tear him away, while Micah being only 5 months is sitting up on his own "most of the time" and they enjoy playing together. Micah is always looking for Andrew and listening for what he will be doing next, and looking out for Andrew who may be tackling him at any time; it is always interesting. Home time is always great, we are looking forward to a wonderful fall with many memories at home. Kyle

The Fish Tank Invasion!

Image
Andrew has been very busy throwing obects into his fish tank these past few weeks! He loves finding things around the house to give his fishies. So far his fishies have enjoyed screws, batteries, window knobs, graham crackers, licorice and Canadian coins! Kyle caught him in the action today and took a picture of his fish tank so you could see how busy he has been. Andrew just added a new fish to his tank. We asked him what he would like to name his fishy and he shouted "FOOTBALL!" I guess daddy has a little boy after his own heart. So now Andrew has two fish, one named "Fishy" and the other "Football." Hopefully both will survive the random household items being bombed in their home. Gotta love being parents! Have a great week!

Micah is Already 5 months old!

Image
Today Micah is 5 months old! The time goes so quickly! It is so much fun to watch him rolling, jumping in the Johny Jumper, grabbing objects, watching Big brother Andrew, laughing at daddy and mommy, cooing at people in the grocery store, and learning more and more about the world around him each moment of the day. WOW! Micah has his own little ministry of giving others joy and laughter to not only to Kyle, Drew and me, but those who come into contact with him each and every day. He truly is a light in the darkest of days. Thank you Lord for the gift of Micah. Continue to protect him and watch over him daily. We praise you for the delight he brings our family. We love you Micah!

Fun Memories of July

Image
We loved spending time with Grandma,Grandpa, Nana and GG during the month of July! We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family who loves and supports us in youth ministry in International Falls, MN! We couldn't serve God as effectively without their encouragement! During the month of July Andrew, Micah and I spent most days in the cities visiting friends and family! Kyle was very busy traveling to Mexico for two weeks on a mission trip with 20 of our youth students and five other youth leaders. We were so glad they had a great time serving Christ and made it home safely. Kyle also spoke at Bluewater Covenant Camp for one week and stayed up there another week to spend time with our Junior High youth students. We also stayed with Kyle while he spoke at camp and then traveled down to the cities the last week of July. While we had a blast shopping, eating at restaurants, swimming, going to parks, and getting terribly spoiled by grandparents in the cities, we are now glad to be

Micah Update

Image
Micah had his 4 month appointment this week! He weighed 15lbs and was 27 inches long! Dr. Stone said he was in the 50% for weight and 97% for height. We have a big boy on our hands! He is taking after his daddy everyday! Micah is a true delight to be around. He is so laid back and much more relaxed than his big brother Andrew. As parents it is so fun to watch the personality differences between the boys. Micah will take a nap in your arms, Andrew needs his bed and blankie. Also, Micah is comfortable cooing with new people, Andrew is much more hesitant and timid around those he doesn't know. Kyle and I are enjoying being parents of two handsome boys! What a blessing to have two healthy little boys.

What a Wonderful Nana and GG!

Image
We had a wonderful week with Nana and GG! They came up to see us with a car full of exciting things for all of us! As you can see Andrew loves his new rock wall climber and yellow slide! In fact, Kyle and I are enjoying it as well as it keeps Andrew busy and is a blast to go down as well! In addition we received carpet to put inside the fort with a car rug to zoom his cars around! Andrew enjoyed playing with Nana and GG on his new outside toys! Terri and I had a nice time putting in Hosta along the back of the house. It looks so nice and we had a great time visiting and being together. I continue to be thankful for such a wonderful mother-in-law and friend. Throughout the week we were all blessed by Nana and GG. Going on walks, playing at the park, going to the beach, eating ice cream, and our evening bonfire will always be remembered. We are so thankful to be able to share life with them and be able to build memories together. Andrew has had a hard time adjusting since Nana has left

Wolf River White Water Rafting Youth Trip!

Image
We were able to start the tradition of taking the International Falls youth to the great Wolf River. We took a great group of kids who did not know what to expect and drove the 10 hours to the river. We spend 2 days rafting and then hit the road for home. The students and leaders had a great time navigating the rapids themselves, flipping a boat or two and of course the water falls were a huge hit. U had the opportunity to sit down at the camp fire and one day in our boat with some of the students who do not regularly come to our ministry and talk about the relationship with Christ. These discussions where by far the highlight of my trip, getting to encourage students in their faith and hear the testimony about how they came to know the Lord was just awesome. Our first night it rained more than i have ever seen, and most of our tents stayed dry. But our two days on the river could not have been any better bright sun and 85 or so which is really hot for us from the far north. We had on
