Micah's 7th Birthday!

We had a great day celebrating Micah's 7th birthday with him. He was excited to go to Culver's for lunch on his special day!! He loves their buffalo chicken tenders, french fries and root beer!! And even better when he gets to sit right next to daddy and feel super duper special!! 
I simply can not believe how fast these 7 years have gone....I still remember the days sitting in church during my 9th month of pregnancy barely able to sit up straight!! Now we are shooting hoops and playing catch with a football!!

After school we enjoyed this awesome birthday cake with Micah! Thank you to our sweet neighbor and friend Erica for loving on our Micah man. It was delicious!
Micah was pumped about his party day with his friends and family. Mario Kart was a real hit!! We had lots of fun enjoying Micah's favorite things....

Micah had so much fun celebrating with his friends!! We had 12 boys (including our own) in our house loving on Micah and making him feel extra special!!

We are so thankful Micah has made such wonderful friends from church and school.

Next came Micah's family party and we enjoyed making pizzas with our cousins!!
It was fun watching Micah take time to read each card this year and be thankful for his gifts.

We love you Micah!!! So glad we could make you feel loved and special this week. Your smile, creativity, silliness, laughter, thoughtfulness and the way you love all of us is truly a gift everyday!! The Lord has BIG plans for you and we pray each day that He would give you the opportunities to learn and grow to become the handsome guy he is preparing.

Grandmas Marathon- getting faster!!

3:00:38 Grandmas Marathon PR!! I’m still smiling…things are coming along nicely in my marathon expertise! Haha, Im just being silly but I really am learning more as I go-what works best for me, what doesn’t.  June 17th was a blast!! Cramps hit strong in my left calf around mile 18 and then my pace got more limited as I went, I was so scared I would pull something that I tried to find the balance of push and hold up! Super proud of this race and the battle I fought. The marathon is a beast and continues to challenge me! Games ON still for the CIM Marathon on December 3rd. 😁First up though, trails and less miles for me for awhile. My friend Leah is a true gem, someone I really enjoy sharing running miles and life with. Kyle, Micah and I enjoyed time with Leah’s family in Duluth. Her sister Sara and brother-in-law Mike made us feel so welcome and special!  I’ve been getting faster and continue to PR each year since my late 30s, in fact the last time I raced Grandmas Marathon I ran a 3:16

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Friday came quick!😅

 These full days have gone by super fast this week. Teaching full days to students who need my full attention, getting over a cold this week, spending time with all the boys each night, and keeping up with Kyle’s busy church schedule has had us all feeling like it has been a quick week! Micah and Caleb had a tennis meeting this week to get ready for their spring season, Kyle and I are really excited to cheer them on soon! Maybe sooner with how warm our weather has been this winter. It’s been fun to hear that Micah has been at the courts a lot already with his buddies, praying he has a solid season ahead for his Junior year.  Micah will be 17yrs old next Tuesday! It’s so crazy to think I have an 18yr old, almost 17yr old, 15yr old, and 12yr old….I wish I could keep them little.❤️ Each season of life looks so different.
