Christmas break 2017!

The anticipation and excitement for Christmas to come was at an all time high at our house the final week before Christmas. Wondering if Santa would come or maybe we were too naughty this year? Thinking about what it was like to be Mary and Joseph and have to travel so far... why did God choose a manger for Jesus to be born in when he is our King? So many great questions and lots to great conversations left Kyle and I smiling in awe of this great season of life with our boys.
7am on Christmas morning it all began! The boys love gifts and thought everything they got this Christmas was "Super Awesome!!"

So many great gifts left one big mess afterwards! Love the feeling of Christmas morning and being together as a family. The mess, great smells of breakfast, the noise of happy boys fill our hearts right up! A wonderful Christmas morning together!
It was a nice Christmas at grandma and grandpas house as well and so fun eating great food and so many Christmas cookies! Always so fun to play with the cousins and be together.
Family is the greatest. We are so thankful to have such a loving family who loves to see us and spend time with us on Christmas.
Time in Spicer was so cold that we had to get a bit more creative this year! The boys didn't mind too much and still managed to do some of their favorite things over break that is so special to them.  Thankful for this beautiful place to go play and laugh with family for a few days!

The crew at the lights! Love those smiles!!

BUMMER NEWS: We got hit with some truck trouble over Christmas this year while staying in Spicer. Pretty stressful for sure and actually still is not fixed yet. With the added bummer to our Christmas break we have tried our best to look at the best in the situation and be thankful for great friends who have allowed us to drive their car around. Unfortunately life throws tough stuff our way in the midst of uncertain times. It's in these hard times that we are reminded that Jesus is the greatest gift given. Their is nothing in this life that is greater then God sending Jesus to earth and dying for our sins.  It is Kyle and my desire to teach this to our boys. We are learning that we are not the best teachers at times to our boys as we make mistakes too and don't always handle our stress in healthy ways. Praying for God to guide us in the process of teaching our children that...
Jesus IS our greatest gift given!

We had some fun days together after Christmas as well and I thought the boys looked so cute doing this puzzle Micah got for Christmas together.
New Year's Eve was a BLAST celebrating with 6 of Micah's buddies and 1 of Caleb's best buds!! Sleepover night at our house!!! Drew headed to a 6th grade party with his friends! It was a FUN NIGHT FOR US!!!!
PIE IN THE FACE!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE FROM ALL THESE BOYS!!!!
2018 Is Going to be another Year of God's faithfulness, goodness and JOY over us!!!
