A little ministry update!
This has been such a great spring to see the way God has worked in our ministry this past year. We have experienced God working in so many ways with our kids this past year. There have been many ups and downs and that has continued to be true this spring. There have been some very difficult times with kids as well as many very deep and meaningful times together. I have had the privilege of spending every Wednesday morning at the school library praying with the students, and have seen this ministry begin to grow and see more students waking up early and coming out to pray for each other, the school, and our ministry together. We have also made some great strides with our leadership students and we are beginning to see them start to step up and take charge within our ministry.
Here goes an attempt to fill you in on some of the details of what we have been doing. This spring we have had an explosion of visitors at our late night open gyms. Once a month we open our doors to anyone who wants to come. We play games, give out free food, and just let them know that we are here to care for them and to invite them back to our Wednesday night program. These open gyms are a very scary place with well over 100 kids cramming into our gym to hang out and be loved on! It is so great to see all that chaos in Gods' house! Many of these kids have now begun to funnel into our Wednesday night program and are getting connected to Christ, and a small group! Praise God!

A group of about 50 took a weekend to participate in the 30 Hour famine. For the Famine we challenged our kids to raise more money than last years donation of $1200. They not only beat last years donation, but they more than doubled it by raising over $2500! We spent time in the community doing service projects, helping clean our section of the highway, and collected over 1200 pounds of food for our local food shelf. It was a real blessing of a weekend to be the Pastor who gets to work with these great students.
This past week we had our annual ALL NIGHT BLITZ. Yes, we stayed up all night playing games, doing a community wide scavenger hunt, bowling, and worshiping our God. It was such a fun time to hang out with the students and see if this old father of 2 can still make it all night! I am still trying to catch up on my sleep.
These are just a few of the highlights mixed in with our weekly Wednesday night meetings, Wednesday morning prayer time, and Sunday night leadership night. Things never seem to slow down around here, but we are learning to live within it. God has really blessed Anna, Andrew, Micah and I in moving us here. It is so amazing to be relying on God and doing exactly what he wants for us.
Blessed to be serving Christ,
Kyle

Thanks for the update on your ministry - your youth group, and your church, sound amazing. But I do have to comment on you being an old father. Come one, Keith and I were still staying up all night when we all did the all-nighter at Shoreview and we were much older than you! I am so happy for you and Anna and your boys - I will keep you in my prayers.
I have said it before and I will say it again, you are missed down here by family and friends but God definitely has a purpose for you to be up in International Falls now.
May God continue to watch over you, Anna and the boys and use you to the fullest in ministry.
Love you guys!
Jeremie, Renee and Brenna
