Spring Projects!

As Kyle recently blogged, we have been super busy these days getting house projects done before the baby comes and youth summer ministry takes way! We thought it would be fun to show you pictures of all the things that we have been busy doing!

The boys are admiring all of daddy's hard work as the egress window is almost finished!

The boys are now downstairs in their new room and loving it! We all love having the space to spread out in our house! The boys think their new room is really great!

Our next project was putting up a fence in our backyard! Here the boys are standing next to the cement machine and pretending to be helping. However, this project was a little harder for our little guys to help with. Luckily Kyle had some friends from church come over to help get the job done. We are so thankful for Steve, David and Pastor Erik! If you look closely you will see the beautiful fence in the background. We are loving the fence already! It allows both Kyle and I a peace of mind that Andrew and Micah will be safe playing together while I am busy with house work, new baby, etc!


Our third and final "big" project to our home was creating a new baby room for our new little guy! We loved our sports theme we had when Andrew was a baby so we pulled it out again and painted the room blue! Luckily Babies R Us still had some Sports Border so we bought some more to decorate the room. We are now officially baby ready and it feels great to have a room just for baby! We feel so blessed to be done with all the BIG projects we felt really needed to be done before baby comes! Now our house feels bigger and safer as we can now enjoy our soon family of five! Three weeks still to go and we will continue to work on smaller projects like putting in new plants outside and planting some flowers.

Grandmas Marathon- getting faster!!

3:00:38 Grandmas Marathon PR!! I’m still smiling…things are coming along nicely in my marathon expertise! Haha, Im just being silly but I really am learning more as I go-what works best for me, what doesn’t.  June 17th was a blast!! Cramps hit strong in my left calf around mile 18 and then my pace got more limited as I went, I was so scared I would pull something that I tried to find the balance of push and hold up! Super proud of this race and the battle I fought. The marathon is a beast and continues to challenge me! Games ON still for the CIM Marathon on December 3rd. 😁First up though, trails and less miles for me for awhile. My friend Leah is a true gem, someone I really enjoy sharing running miles and life with. Kyle, Micah and I enjoyed time with Leah’s family in Duluth. Her sister Sara and brother-in-law Mike made us feel so welcome and special!  I’ve been getting faster and continue to PR each year since my late 30s, in fact the last time I raced Grandmas Marathon I ran a 3:16

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Friday came quick!😅

 These full days have gone by super fast this week. Teaching full days to students who need my full attention, getting over a cold this week, spending time with all the boys each night, and keeping up with Kyle’s busy church schedule has had us all feeling like it has been a quick week! Micah and Caleb had a tennis meeting this week to get ready for their spring season, Kyle and I are really excited to cheer them on soon! Maybe sooner with how warm our weather has been this winter. It’s been fun to hear that Micah has been at the courts a lot already with his buddies, praying he has a solid season ahead for his Junior year.  Micah will be 17yrs old next Tuesday! It’s so crazy to think I have an 18yr old, almost 17yr old, 15yr old, and 12yr old….I wish I could keep them little.❤️ Each season of life looks so different.
