Christmas Memories

Christmas 2009 held many memories that we wouldn't want to miss sharing. Our family decided to head out of town a littler earlier this year as a snow storm began Christmas Eve night. We made arrangements with Santa to come a day early so we could celebrate a portion of Christmas at our home. Andrew and Micah really took interest in Santa this year and loved talking about him and all his reindeer that were visiting us! They left him cookies and milk and went to bed with much anticipation! What a thrill it was for Kyle and I to celebrate Christmas with our boys and the fun of Santa coming! We also had fun celebrating Caleb's first Christmas and took lots of pictures in his "santa" hat.
We headed to Brooklyn Park first to celebrate Christmas with my family. We stayed 4 nights in the cities enjoying sledding, eating grandmas cookies, singing silly songs with grandpa, opening presents, playing with cousin Kaylee, shopping and loving every minute with aunts and uncles, grandparents and great grandparents too!Grandpa took all of us sledding during the BIG snow storm to check out some of my favorite sledding hills as a little girl. What a blast we had plowing through all the snow! It was fun watching the boys experience some of the fun memories I too had growing up. Grandma and Caleb snuggled while we were gone. I think Caleb was maybe trying out some of grandmas cookies while I was away! One of Andrew and Micah's favorite gifts from grandma and grandpa was their rollarblades! Grandma and grandpa turned their home into a rollar rank and cranked up the music for the boys so they could pretend they were really skating!!!! This of course all happened while Kyle and I were on a date! The next part of our Christmas trip was in Wilmer to visit our nana and gg! We had a wonderful time playing outside in the igloo uncle Phil made, making snow angels on the lake, sledding, drinking hot cocoa, playing with cousin Callie and Joey, ice skating and having pizza together! It was so much fun to watch all the kids playing together and giving the adults a little bit of a break!
One of the many gifts that the boys loved from nana and gg were these winter vests! I love how cool they think they look in this picture!
On the way home from our Christmas with family, Kyle and I were again so thankful to have such wonderful families who love us and care so much for our kids! We had a wonderful time celebrating Christs birth with those closest to our hearts. We hope you also had a wonderful Christmas and have lots of fun memories to share!
