October Birthdays!

October is such a special month for our family because 2 of the 6 of us have birthdays! Drew and Jacob...our big and little guy! We had lots of fun celebrating these special guys! 
I've gotta say Drew is incredible about encouraging Jacob in all he does.  I couldn't be more proud of the big guy Drew is becoming. We ran in the Run4Water with our church family and the boys decided they could all manage the 1 mile pretty well. Here comes Jacob and daddy to the finish line with Drew cheering them on! Nice work!
Drew has officially turned 11 and Jman 5years old. Fun celebrating these two with our family! Lots of thoughtful gifts and great birthday singing!
Our big surprise this year for the boys were new bikes. Drew got a really nice Giant bike and Jake got his very own bike that no one has EVER rode before! As the youngest of 4 boys that is really a big deal! He kept saying, "I want my very own bike that's just mine!" Happy Birthday Boys!
We celebrated Drew with his closest buddies by going out to pizza and heading to a Mustang football game in Chippewa Falls. Mustangs killed em' and Drew had the best night. Kyle and I loved watching these boys run around the field and hang out together. They really like watching football and causing mischief on Friday nights at the game! 5th grade boys!
Jacob had been planning his 1st birthday party with his special friends for months. As the day came closer he zeroed in on having pizza for lunch, dilly bars for his birthday treat AND playing tag at Carson Park in Eau Claire! It was a total BLAST! These 5 year old boys crack us up!!! Great day celebrating Jake!
On Drew's birthday we headed out to River Falls to cheer for Drew in his final fall league baseball game. Nice of grandma and grandpa to join us too! We were a little obnoxious cheering super loud but I think he felt extra special. Got this "in action" shot of our now 11 year old!! Getting so old I can hardly stand it!!!

We hyped this special day up because 5 is a pretty BIG number for our baby boy! We love calling him BBJ (for baby Jacob) or baby J when it's just us at home. And we always tell him he will always be our BABY J! He's not lovin' the name and occasionally asks me if I might consider having 1 more baby... sorry Jman. Always our baby!
Jacob always likes when I take pics of him on this rock, so we got a great one on his BIG 5 day!
Busy Fall for our family but thankful for all these special moments we get to share together, especially celebrating 2 super special boys!

Grandmas Marathon- getting faster!!

3:00:38 Grandmas Marathon PR!! I’m still smiling…things are coming along nicely in my marathon expertise! Haha, Im just being silly but I really am learning more as I go-what works best for me, what doesn’t.  June 17th was a blast!! Cramps hit strong in my left calf around mile 18 and then my pace got more limited as I went, I was so scared I would pull something that I tried to find the balance of push and hold up! Super proud of this race and the battle I fought. The marathon is a beast and continues to challenge me! Games ON still for the CIM Marathon on December 3rd. 😁First up though, trails and less miles for me for awhile. My friend Leah is a true gem, someone I really enjoy sharing running miles and life with. Kyle, Micah and I enjoyed time with Leah’s family in Duluth. Her sister Sara and brother-in-law Mike made us feel so welcome and special!  I’ve been getting faster and continue to PR each year since my late 30s, in fact the last time I raced Grandmas Marathon I ran a 3:16

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Friday came quick!😅

 These full days have gone by super fast this week. Teaching full days to students who need my full attention, getting over a cold this week, spending time with all the boys each night, and keeping up with Kyle’s busy church schedule has had us all feeling like it has been a quick week! Micah and Caleb had a tennis meeting this week to get ready for their spring season, Kyle and I are really excited to cheer them on soon! Maybe sooner with how warm our weather has been this winter. It’s been fun to hear that Micah has been at the courts a lot already with his buddies, praying he has a solid season ahead for his Junior year.  Micah will be 17yrs old next Tuesday! It’s so crazy to think I have an 18yr old, almost 17yr old, 15yr old, and 12yr old….I wish I could keep them little.❤️ Each season of life looks so different.
