Spring Break + Birthday Celebrating!

  
The boys had been anticipating our Spring Break adventure for weeks talking about all our plans and  activities we would do while away together. It was lots of fun hearing the boys talk about playing hockey, hiking, and doing lots of swimming! We all had that wild excitement in our eyes when we pulled out of the driveway after church Sunday afternoon! 
Stopping at canal park on our way we were freezing but didn't zap our joy one bit! We were now on Spring break!
It was a really special week getting away together. Drew and Micah were playing some one-on-one so I grabbed a pic to remind us of all the ice skating the 4 boys did. A few times the 4 of them took off to the rink on their own pairing up to help the younger boys put on their skates. Fun new season for Kyle and I. The boys had such great attitudes.
Although the weather is chilly here most of the time no matter the season, the view is stunning!

The hiking trails were very icy and at times a bit challenging for us all. I love this pic of Drew and Jake holding hands hiking.

The view of the falls were still so neat and very cool! Dad and I love spending time with you dudes.

I took this pic after a beautiful sunny run I had gone on. The sun was so vibrant!
Such a treat to swim in the outdoor pools! The boys had a blast! And notice the lake in the background!

Temperance River is my absolute FAVORITE hiking trail. Gorgeous anytime of year.
The days flew by super fast and we stayed until the very last minute of our check out time, ice skating just once more! These boys fill our life and hearts right up! So blessed every day and moment we get to make memories, laugh and grow in relationship with each other. Spring Break 2017!!

Coming home we wrapped up the weekend celebrating daddy! Super fun to celebrate our main man and let him know how much we love and adore him!! The boys and I had a great day with him and I took him out to one of our favorite spots for supper, Waterfront! We love you babe and are so thankful you are our leader. We think you are pretty amazing! Happy 36!

Grandmas Marathon- getting faster!!

3:00:38 Grandmas Marathon PR!! I’m still smiling…things are coming along nicely in my marathon expertise! Haha, Im just being silly but I really am learning more as I go-what works best for me, what doesn’t.  June 17th was a blast!! Cramps hit strong in my left calf around mile 18 and then my pace got more limited as I went, I was so scared I would pull something that I tried to find the balance of push and hold up! Super proud of this race and the battle I fought. The marathon is a beast and continues to challenge me! Games ON still for the CIM Marathon on December 3rd. 😁First up though, trails and less miles for me for awhile. My friend Leah is a true gem, someone I really enjoy sharing running miles and life with. Kyle, Micah and I enjoyed time with Leah’s family in Duluth. Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Friday came quick!😅

 These full days have gone by super fast this week. Teaching full days to students who need my full attention, getting over a cold this week, spending time with all the boys each night, and keeping up with Kyle’s busy church schedule has had us all feeling like it has been a quick week! Micah and Caleb had a tennis meeting this week to get ready for their spring season, Kyle and I are really excited to cheer them on soon! Maybe sooner with how warm our weather has been this winter. It’s been fun to hear that Micah has been at the courts a lot already with his buddies, praying he has a solid season ahead for his Junior year.  Micah will be 17yrs old next Tuesday! It’s so crazy to think I have an 18yr old, almost 17yr old, 15yr old, and 12yr old….I wish I could keep them little.❤️ Each season of life looks so different.
