School Shopping!

One of my favorite traditions with the boys is taking each of them school shopping. It is so special to have that time with them to talk, laugh and shop!! Each boy has their own sporty style and I cherish this time so much. 
Caleb and I had lunch at Subway and hit the mall in Eau Claire. He found some great t-shirts and long pants for fall! I love my chats with Caleb because they are so funny and free spirited.  He is such a sweet boy and although not a picky shopper we had a great time shopping at TjMaxx! We picked up Icees on our way home! Love you Bubba!
Jake chose the same spot and really wanted to shop a lot at Scheel's, his very favorite store. He is so picky with clothes and style so it was great to have him along to choose his 1st day of Kindergarten outfit! He had so much fun shopping and we had one big stack of clothes! He picked Subway as well! Jman I'm so excited for you to head to school this year!
Micah and I took off to Woodbury and decided to start our shopping day at Buffalo Wild Wings! We sat on the same side of a booth together and watched little league baseball on one of the big screens! We ordered warm pretzels and cheese dip for our appetizer! Great conversations with Micah and we had a blast shopping at Kohl's together! Micah, thank you for spending time with me! 
Drew and I also headed to Woodbury stopping at Subway for lunch on our way down! The boys really enjoy Subway I guess! It was fun letting each boy choose where to go! Drew's thought was that we could get going on shopping and then have time after for ice cream! I like his kind of thinking! We shopped a ton and looked at so many different styles for middle school. I think him and I will need to head out again in a few weeks because some of the clothes were picked over and he still needs some jeans and basketball pants. But, overall it was a success and we found some great stuff at Dick's! The hat he is wearing was a must!! Drew, I am excited for you to start middle school!

Grandmas Marathon- getting faster!!

3:00:38 Grandmas Marathon PR!! I’m still smiling…things are coming along nicely in my marathon expertise! Haha, Im just being silly but I really am learning more as I go-what works best for me, what doesn’t.  June 17th was a blast!! Cramps hit strong in my left calf around mile 18 and then my pace got more limited as I went, I was so scared I would pull something that I tried to find the balance of push and hold up! Super proud of this race and the battle I fought. The marathon is a beast and continues to challenge me! Games ON still for the CIM Marathon on December 3rd. 😁First up though, trails and less miles for me for awhile. My friend Leah is a true gem, someone I really enjoy sharing running miles and life with. Kyle, Micah and I enjoyed time with Leah’s family in Duluth. Her sister Sara and brother-in-law Mike made us feel so welcome and special!  I’ve been getting faster and continue to PR each year since my late 30s, in fact the last time I raced Grandmas Marathon I ran a 3:16

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Friday came quick!😅

 These full days have gone by super fast this week. Teaching full days to students who need my full attention, getting over a cold this week, spending time with all the boys each night, and keeping up with Kyle’s busy church schedule has had us all feeling like it has been a quick week! Micah and Caleb had a tennis meeting this week to get ready for their spring season, Kyle and I are really excited to cheer them on soon! Maybe sooner with how warm our weather has been this winter. It’s been fun to hear that Micah has been at the courts a lot already with his buddies, praying he has a solid season ahead for his Junior year.  Micah will be 17yrs old next Tuesday! It’s so crazy to think I have an 18yr old, almost 17yr old, 15yr old, and 12yr old….I wish I could keep them little.❤️ Each season of life looks so different.
