Thanksgiving+Turkey trot Winner!

 Soup Supper- a fun way for our family to start off the Thanksgiving weekend. We had a great turnout at church. Always fun to visit with our church family and hear how they are celebrating their holiday weekend too!

Ben&Kara&Crew- came to our house to sleepover and hang out with us! We have really enjoyed this time with their family and it’s always fun to get up and head to the Turkey Trot together in EC on Thanksgiving morning! I wish I could order up warmer weather tho! It’s always so cold. 

Turkey Trot 5mile - there was a great turnout and it was really fun to feel in race mode again! It’s been awhile. Throughout my hip injury this summer, I remember thinking, “If only I can race at the Turkey Trot! That would be a great accomplishment.” I felt pretty blessed to lineup… and take 1st place female. 🥇but even more happy to feel healthy again.

Late start we lingered by the start line for about 20minutes! I was freezing cold.

Favorite Tradition- sitting together with my family and sharing all the things we are thankful for. We have all walked some pretty tough storms this year, some of us still going through them. This time of reflection as a family is really special for us and I think all our kids enjoy it too. So many times hearing we are thankful for family.
Craft time- 
Celebrating old people! Nice to still be celebrated.
Food- so much eating. All day long.

Cousin time- priceless.

Tree Day! The day after Thanksgiving! Kyle was so happy to be getting a long needle tree this year. Really funny to see how happy he was about this opportunity. Usually, we get short needle. I let it go this year🙄

Family time is what I love most about Thanksgiving weekend. Thankful for time together ALL-weekend long!

Grandmas Marathon- getting faster!!

3:00:38 Grandmas Marathon PR!! I’m still smiling…things are coming along nicely in my marathon expertise! Haha, Im just being silly but I really am learning more as I go-what works best for me, what doesn’t.  June 17th was a blast!! Cramps hit strong in my left calf around mile 18 and then my pace got more limited as I went, I was so scared I would pull something that I tried to find the balance of push and hold up! Super proud of this race and the battle I fought. The marathon is a beast and continues to challenge me! Games ON still for the CIM Marathon on December 3rd. 😁First up though, trails and less miles for me for awhile. My friend Leah is a true gem, someone I really enjoy sharing running miles and life with. Kyle, Micah and I enjoyed time with Leah’s family in Duluth. Her sister Sara and brother-in-law Mike made us feel so welcome and special!  I’ve been getting faster and continue to PR each year since my late 30s, in fact the last time I raced Grandmas Marathon I ran a 3:16

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Friday came quick!😅

 These full days have gone by super fast this week. Teaching full days to students who need my full attention, getting over a cold this week, spending time with all the boys each night, and keeping up with Kyle’s busy church schedule has had us all feeling like it has been a quick week! Micah and Caleb had a tennis meeting this week to get ready for their spring season, Kyle and I are really excited to cheer them on soon! Maybe sooner with how warm our weather has been this winter. It’s been fun to hear that Micah has been at the courts a lot already with his buddies, praying he has a solid season ahead for his Junior year.  Micah will be 17yrs old next Tuesday! It’s so crazy to think I have an 18yr old, almost 17yr old, 15yr old, and 12yr old….I wish I could keep them little.❤️ Each season of life looks so different.
