Gunderson Adventures.... where all 6 of Us live life to the fullest!

8:30a we rode our bikes up to the pool and enjoyed the morning swimming- Caleb, Jake, and I. The rest of the crew went to play pickle ball! It was a gorgeous morning and getting hotter by the minute.☀️ Kyle and Micah went early to do a CrossFit workout at the local gym this morning! They said it was a super hard workout and really warm, but glad they went and got T-shirts 😁 After lunch we went to Lighthouse beach and enjoyed time hanging out together. Glad we brought footballs, Beach balls, and shovels/buckets. Nice to walk the beach too! Great afternoon. Enjoying the hot sun with Jake!☀️ Grabbed ice cream and sorbet on our way home at one of our favorite Sanibel ice cream spots! Pizza by the pool for supper from Pizza Pub! Nice and easy supper night. Off to miniature golfing! Fun night splitting up into two teams, super cool course at Castle Golf.  Full day, but so much fun. We just love it here in Florida!🏖☀️

We were up early and off to the airport before we really knew we were awake!😳out of the house by 5:15a- great morning smiles! Chillin’ at the airport ✈️ These boys are growing up so fast, I remember pushing them in the stroller in the airport on our way to Florida... now they just show me where to go in the airport! 😆 They were on a Subway mission- always hungry!  Once we arrived at Nana and GGs place I went for a run and the boys shot hoops, Kyle rested. Then we took out the bikes and went to the pool for the evening. Beautiful evening. So glad we made it! Kyle and I love this place.♥️Ready for a fun week!

Micah’s 14!  Micah turned 14 on Friday!🥳🎉 He is so much fun to love up on his birthday and we had fun making all his favorites for supper and enjoying the evening shooting hoops and hanging in the hot tub together. Surprise visit from his buddy John! Fun to have him join us too for some basketball+dessert+singing! 🏀🍪 🎶  Micah’s smile says it all to me- he is loving, sweet, sassy, hilarious, gentle, and the biggest rule breaker we know! And we couldn’t be more blessed by him in our family.♥️ Excited to see how God will continue to mold and shape him into the person He created him to be! I know it’s gonna be something incredibly Epic and I feel so lucky God invited me along for the Journey. We love you Micah Robert! We are really enjoying our winter days lately! Grandpa and grandma came to visit us last weekend and we had a really nice time with them. We hadn’t seen them since Christmas! So many great walks and talks, fun games played, good food and even got them in the hot tub.😊 Kyle took off for New York on Monday with some of his best ministry buddies and they had a nice time traveling and connecting with other pastors. It was fun getting pics from him this week as he had never been to NYC before. I am really enjoying the sunrises on my morning runs...6:30am and the morning sun starts the day in the most beautiful way. “ Because of the Lords great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:22 Micah had a basketball tournament last weekend! Love these smiles and thankful they can play. Friday morning recovery run to the cross! My favorite place to run to....

 Oh my goodness, the weather has gone from cold to colder to insanely COLD!!!🥶 It has stopped many of our ice skating adventures this week, but definitely not our hot tub time or the occasional walk close to home to get some fresh air. All in all we are surviving AND we got our eyes fixed on going to Florida in exactly one month now!🏖✈️  Running these days has been consistent workouts on the treadmill, and it works for the time being but not long term situations. Totally not ideal, but getting into the groove with my podcasts and great playlists that keep me staying upbeat. Next race up will be my 2nd half marathon in Marco Island! 🏝 SO excited. Our hot tub has been well used, and a great place for us to hang out during these cold days. Such a treat for us!  It was an interesting season, not quite normal in the sense that it was done in COVID style- masks, distanced,  limited or no fans, live streamed, cancelled games, quarantined for 3 weeks as a team...BUT they got to play. So we are thankful for that! 😷🏀 Here are some photos taken at one of Drew’s final basketball games, always so proud of him!
