Last Day Of Summer!

Today was the last day of summer so we decided to fill water balloons and throw them at each other in the backyard! The boys had a blast! A little surprised they could really throw at mommy too.
It is hard to believe our summer has come to an end. Caleb is already 3 months old and smiling like crazy! It feels like it was just June 15th when we were going into Virginia hospital to deliver our third little boy! Oh how overwhelmed I began feeling once we came home. July was spent visiting family and showing Caleb off to family and friends in the cities on top of trying to survive having 3 little boys needing mommy in so many different ways! August calmed down a little as we didn't travel as much and stayed home. Although Kyle was gone with different youth ministry stuff (camp, MUUCE, State Fair) the boys and I really began to get into our home routine. This was so nice because I really needed this time to figure out what I was doing with 3 boys! Eventually, by mid-August it felt like Kyle and I could actually manage our home and family in a pretty decent way. So, now fall is beginning and Micah and Caleb are napping at the same time in the afternoons, Andrew began preschool, family supper at 6:00 or so, and bedtime at 8:30PM. We are enjoying our days with the boys and love feeling a little more on top of the world! Having 3 little boys is exhausting but our hearts are truly filled with love and joy over our beautiful family only God could have pulled together.:) Have a happy fall and we look forward to updating you on the many adventures we have with the boys this fall!

Andrew learned how to ride his bike with NO training wheels in August! Way to go Andrew!Micah loved swimming this summer! He started jumping in the pool without daddy catching him! Yes, with a life jacket on:) Way to go Micah!

Wow how time flies! we are amazed that our little guy is already two. It seems like just yesterday that he was born and we were spending all of out time looking at him in his crib and playing with him on the floor. Now he is a real boy. Running around, kicking the football, cheering for touchdowns, and tackling his brother. Andrew brings us such joy as he is always laughing and smiling and thinking of new and creative ways to use all of his toys. We are all enjoying our fall, with trips to the cities and a Pastors retreat, jumping in to the leaves, and cool night walks we love this time of year. Big Bro Twin Cities Champion/Little Sis Big Woods 1/2 Marathon Champion

My brother and I are the crazy runners in our family! We took on the Twin Cities Marathon challenge on October 7th and trained like mad to get ready for the event. We began the morning feeling great and ready to take on the challenge before us, yet not knowing only one of us would finish. Ben was taking on his first marathon and was looking forward to finishing and enjoying this wild adventure! I however have done a few of these already and was aimed to kick some butt in the process. So, different goals, but the same idea in mind-lets run the race for Christ. The race did not go as planned for me. The weather was extremely hot and humid and it totally took over my body. All I can really remember is thinking, "Wow it is really hot and I am really sweating!" With little to drink I passed out at mile 10 of the marathon! My time at that point was 1 hour 7 minutes..... on track for an amazing marathon. Truly discouraged I attempted to get back in the race to pass out AGAIN at mil...

Wolf River White Water Rafting Youth Trip!

We were able to start the tradition of taking the International Falls youth to the great Wolf River. We took a great group of kids who did not know what to expect and drove the 10 hours to the river. We spend 2 days rafting and then hit the road for home. The students and leaders had a great time navigating the rapids themselves, flipping a boat or two and of course the water falls were a huge hit. U had the opportunity to sit down at the camp fire and one day in our boat with some of the students who do not regularly come to our ministry and talk about the relationship with Christ. These discussions where by far the highlight of my trip, getting to encourage students in their faith and hear the testimony about how they came to know the Lord was just awesome. Our first night it rained more than i have ever seen, and most of our tents stayed dry.
