Singing our way to Christmas!!


We are welcoming Christmas into our family with lots of great Christmas music!! To start, Andrew and Micah had a great performance at school with all their friends and favorite teacher Mr. Lutz the music teacher! The boys just loved singing this year and it was so much fun to watch them sing "The big chill!!" the boys absolute favorite this year!!

The boys had a chance to take part in some leading roles this Christmas and Andrew did just awesome on his solo!!! We were all so proud of him!!

Micah had a few funny speaking parts that made everyone laugh!! He did fabulous!!

The extra special part about our time together was Nana and GG were able to join us for a few days!! We had so much fun seeing them and felt extra special they took time to come hear the boys sing their way to Christmas! We also had a fun night of pizza and going to the downtown parade together with Nana and GG.  We loved seeing all the lights, animals, floats and receiving lots of candy! Next year we need to bring bags to put all our candy in because we were not prepared for that! After we walked across the street, drank hot cocoa and watched the fire works over the lake. It was a wonderful Christmas night together!!
                                         
Mr. Caleb took his turn to shine and sang the following night.  We loved hearing him sing:
 "This little light of mine" "Peppermint Stick" "Its Christmas Time"
Caleb LOVES his 4k class and thinks Mrs. Braatz is the best teacher ever!
We were so proud of all our performers and were so glad Nana and GG could be apart of some fun memories with our boys!! Merry Christmas!

Grandmas Marathon- getting faster!!

3:00:38 Grandmas Marathon PR!! I’m still smiling…things are coming along nicely in my marathon expertise! Haha, Im just being silly but I really am learning more as I go-what works best for me, what doesn’t.  June 17th was a blast!! Cramps hit strong in my left calf around mile 18 and then my pace got more limited as I went, I was so scared I would pull something that I tried to find the balance of push and hold up! Super proud of this race and the battle I fought. The marathon is a beast and continues to challenge me! Games ON still for the CIM Marathon on December 3rd. 😁First up though, trails and less miles for me for awhile. My friend Leah is a true gem, someone I really enjoy sharing running miles and life with. Kyle, Micah and I enjoyed time with Leah’s family in Duluth. Her sister Sara and brother-in-law Mike made us feel so welcome and special!  I’ve been getting faster and continue to PR each year since my late 30s, in fact the last time I raced Grandmas Marathon I ran a 3:16

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Friday came quick!😅

 These full days have gone by super fast this week. Teaching full days to students who need my full attention, getting over a cold this week, spending time with all the boys each night, and keeping up with Kyle’s busy church schedule has had us all feeling like it has been a quick week! Micah and Caleb had a tennis meeting this week to get ready for their spring season, Kyle and I are really excited to cheer them on soon! Maybe sooner with how warm our weather has been this winter. It’s been fun to hear that Micah has been at the courts a lot already with his buddies, praying he has a solid season ahead for his Junior year.  Micah will be 17yrs old next Tuesday! It’s so crazy to think I have an 18yr old, almost 17yr old, 15yr old, and 12yr old….I wish I could keep them little.❤️ Each season of life looks so different.
