Too bad you yuppies didn't dare travel into the real town that exists below those streets.

But why scare the kids with things that are real and literally were just under their feet?

Exist in the safety of the white life.

Great advice Anonymous! It seems you have strong opinions about exposing children to new situations. I look forward to seeing some of the posts of your family visiting Appalachia this spring break.

Appalachia is a perfect example of rural income disparity. These religious Republicans would have no problem allowing your local schools to look like what you see in the Appalachians.
Wealthy people already pass on a lot of advantages to their children.
WHEN it comes to the economic malaise facing America, the biggest problem is not the widening gap between rich and poor, but the stagnation of social mobility. When the income gap of one generation becomes an opportunity gap for the next, inequality hardens into social stratification.

But who cares?

Not my neighbors, especially the ones with the kids who rub their awesomeness in my kids faces.
