Star Student!
Star Student of the Week!
Caleb James
Caleb was so excited last Friday when he came home from school to tell us he gets to be the star student in his class! We brainstormed as a family and he came up with his 2 favorite things to share with his classmates~his little brother Jake AND his wake board! In addition, he asked if I could come and have lunch with him and make his very favorite bars. It was going to be a very special week for our 2nd grader! Take a peak at how the week turned out-
Caleb did a great job at sharing. He started out by sharing about his little brother and how they are roommates and they love to play together. He also said Jake's favorite food is strawberries (see pic) and he enjoys playing outside shooting hoops or playing baseball in the field. Jake loved every minute listening to Caleb and answering any questions the kids had. One boy asked Jake if he likes Legos and Jake said, "No, I only like playing outside with my brothers." It was really sweet to watch Caleb and Jake dialogue in front of the class.
Next up he shared about his wake board and demonstrated how you wake board by really showing his friends exactly how to do it. He laid on the floor with his legs up, pretended to be holding the handle and then stood up showing how he stands when he is on top of the water. It was so cute! Lots of kids had questions about this and thought it was really cool!
Thursday we brought Caleb lunch from Culver's and played with him outside at recess! His friends really enjoy Caleb and told us lots of things they enjoy doing with Caleb at recess and in the classroom. So sweet!
Here is all Caleb's favorite things and his display area this week!
Our special 7 year old also lost his tooth this week!! I love his smile and you can see where he lost his tooth! Wish I could keep him 7 forever!! So full of life and spunk.
This morning he took his favorite bars to share with his friends to wrap up being Star Student!
Rice Krispy Rollups are the BEST treat!! Great idea Caleb!
Caleb, you are so special to us and we think you are a star everyday! So glad you enjoyed your special week at school!
