I am just getting caught up on blogging these days and wanted to share about my trip to Arizona in February! Thankful for friends who love to do cool things with me! And this trip was extra special because I was able to see Micah too and he hung out with us the whole time. Such a trooper!
Cloudy and cold, which was not expected for our shakeout run! I came to AZ not fully healthy for this one, and I remember the shakeout run was a bit challenging because I hadn't done much running... however I kept my smile going strong!Shakeout run group pic!
In the morning before the race started, we got a fun Valentine's Day group pic! Definitely thankful for each of these guys-Race day pics... I did not take many as it was more technical then I had planned on so it took me a lot of focus on the course just to stay upright! Andy and I coming in at the halfway point. I just remember Micah saying, "Mom so many people have dropped out"...to which I told him, "dont tell me that!" and off I went...Throughout the day I had moments of doubt as it was just going much slower then I had hoped...I kept thinking...even if this race takes me a week to finish...I am going to finish this race! My calf and footing just made things much much harder for me...
