Gunderson Adventures.... where all 6 of Us live life to the fullest!

We took a quick trip to the cities to enjoy a few special days with grandma and grandpa! While we were there we went to lots of fun parks, the como zoo and went on many bike rides! The weather was amazingly warm and we spent every minute enjoying the sun!  The boys are such a blast to hang out with! We find ourselves laughing all day with their silly expressions and new words they come up with everyday! Micah continues to amaze us with his ever growing vocabulary "Donald's" (McDonalds), shoe, water, car, fishies and more. Andrew says "Maybe mommy" or "Maybe daddy" whenever we say, "We'll see Drew." So fun  being parents of two little boys.

This month of ministry has been really busy for both Anna and I.  We had the excitement of planning for our summer calendar, hiring a new youth ministry summer intern and getting him in place and ready, our normal weekly programs, as well as three huge outreach events.  The first event was an open gym which many of you know to be our huge monthly outreach to our community where i even get a chance to preach the Gospel for about 5-10 min in the middle.  This month however we brought in a few local band to see if that would attracted new kids with different interests to the event, boy did it.  We had our normal kids with an additional 50 new kids that we had never seen come through our doors before.  We followed that the following Friday with our yearly All Night Blitz.  This was great, we had about 200 kids out to spend the night with us, we rented the Inflatable games from the cities(and thanks to my dad) were able to get a forth game for free at the last minute, we rented the bowling ...

We took some photos of our boys doing everyday activities in our home during the last week! Andrew is really into  making "houses" in our bed and bringing all his stuffed animal friends with him! Micah loves wearing his construction hat and at times gets mad because he can't get the hat off his head! Meanwhile they are really enjoying playing together as long as I coach them into playing nicely. Otherwise I find them wrestling or I hear "Micah stop!" Andrew and Micah love brushing their teeth each morning on our bathroom stool and making silly faces at each other in the mirror. The boys bring so much fun to our lives! Have a great week!

Hello to all our friends and family! So excited to update you with some of the Gunderson's highlights during March and April! MARCH- Easter morning the boys were surprised to see all the great things the Easter bunny brought them this year! Drew got a baseball bat and ball, the Bee movie, and his favorite candy-Starbursts! Micah received new shades to wear outside in the sun, sand toys and his favorite treat-Nemo Gummies! We had a great day celebrating Christ at home this year. We enjoyed a nice lunch with our senior pastor and his family.  Kyle and I decided to purchase something a little fun this Spring. Kyle has enjoyed this new motorcycle as he rides around town, to work, out to lunch and has taken me on a date already on it! Kyle is super pumped to have something fun to cruise around Int'l Falls with. I just smile with great support and joy in watching him have fun.  Below are pictures of us in Denver CO visiting Nana! So Sorry we haven't kept you up to date with our family. Our computer isn't working again and it will take some time getting it fixed.  We are all doing well. We have had some fun Spring highlights that we can't wait to BLOG about! The boys are growing up so quickly! Andrew and Micah are busy splashing in the puddles and playing outside in the 40 degree weather! Andrew is learning how to hold a baseball bat and make contact with a ball. Micah is talking more and more everyday. His latest words and sounds are "Yeah!Yeah!" "Mama" "Dada" "Ju" (juice) "Cook" (cookie) "Woof, Woof!" "No" "Yes" and others that come with great surprise to Kyle and I.  Kyle and I are doing well. Some days more overwhelming than others with two little boys. Today Micah turned 1 years old! We can hardly believe how fast this year has gone! Micah is such a precious little creation of God. We are so thankful for his humor and continuous energy he provides to our home. A year ago today I experienced one of the most tragic moments in my life. I remember my water breaking at 1:00AM Sunday night and thinking "Oh no! My baby is coming and we have to go 100 miles to the closest hospital!" Normally it wouldn't have been so dramatic because we have a hospital 1 mile away from our home. However, the surgeon was out of town and we needed to be secured by a surgeon in case a c-section would need to take place. So, we called our dearest friend Lynn to come to our home to take care of Andrew so we could take off to Virginia, MN. My great and mighty husband Kyle drove the fastest he claims ever and got us 100 miles in roughly an hour or a little more. Every monday our school has open swim for the community and we try to take the boys as often as we can.  This past week we took the boys and went to the pool!  Andrew, our not so brave boy, made some huge leaps this week.  He went into the pool on his own, and stood in the shallow end and played with balls, and his new swimming friend from the past two weeks, Sammie.  He not only learned to jump into the shallow end on his own and walk down the ramp into the pool.  He also took his first jump off the real diving board.   Like the 3 foot board .  And Micah well, he will do what ever you want.  He walks around the pool deck like he owns the place, dunks the basketball and laughs, and He will swim around without any hesitation and he loves life.   Our boys are so much fun to live life with and be with.   Kyle
