Bryce Canyon day2 July 20th

Image
Day2 at Bryce Canyon was a blast! We took the shuttle up to the park today and hopped on Navajo Trail for a fun morning. The weather started out steamy hot, then clouded over and sprinkled on us for a bit! The rain drops felt chilly on our very warm skin, but refreshing. Poor Micah took a fall this morning while mom was encouraging everyone to jog on the downhills with her!🙄oops!  So dusty hiking here, we were just covered in rusty colored dust! I hosed off everyone’s shoes after this hike.😊 Up&Up!! Dusty shoes! Our big guy, thankful for time away with him.🥰 Clouds rollin’ in! First day we’ve even seen cloudy skies, kinda a nice break. Here is a full map of the park! Super cool place to visit and a great spot for bringing your bikes! The pool and hot tub was fantastic too! We enjoyed swimming each afternoon and evening. 💦  Kyle and I went out to supper and had the guys meet us at the ice cream shop on their bikes after. Fun way to end a...

Bryce Canyon day1 July 19th

Image
From Grand Canyon we headed to Bryce Canyon, about 100 miles away. We were all glad it was a short travel day! We got to town to grab whatever grocery items we could find, not much for groceries in Bryce Canyon, so we had to get a little creative and try not to spend a bunch of money. It was good for the guys to help plan out a couple meals with what little choices the grocery store had, they did well!😊 We took off on our bikes and headed to do some hiking before supper. We are so glad we brought our bikes! It’s been a lot of fun biking around town or to trails at each of the locations we’ve stopped at.  Our first impression of these views at Bryce Canyon was, “WOW!!” and “I’ve never seen anything like this!” Fun to experience this just the 6 of us.😊 It was hot hot hot but we held up well, Drew got a little light headed so we got him a snack and he was back on track. These switch backs were pretty neat in here! The guys were great hikers! Supper tim...

Grand Canyon views❤️ July 18th

Image
Woke up feeling refreshed after a great night sleep and ate breakfast, preparing for a midmorning run at the Grand Canyon while the guys checked out the north rim for a bit. My run started out around 10a, not really sure bc our phones&watches kept going between Utah/Arizona time😜 but either way, it was beginning to warm up in the sun!☀️ I took off on the Uncle Jim trail and caught these stunning morning views!  It was a nice run but I was feeling worn out from the warm sun and easily tired out today. Thankful their was a spot to fill up my water bottle a few times while I waited for the guys to come pick me up. We drove around a bit and hopped out to look at some more great views! Okay, so this pic makes me wonder if I spotted some of the rim2rim2rim trail bc if you zoom in you see a trail...I’ve got some crazy running friends back at home that would join me on this adventure so I’ll for sure be back here! Gotta get down there and run from the south rim to the no...

To the Grand Canyon! July 17th

Image
Kyle and I had a nice coffee date before our day began. We hopped on our bikes and took off for an hour and it felt so nice to have some kid free time to connect. We loaded up later that morning and stopped at Walmart for a few things and then headed to the Grand Canyon, taking naps and reading books once we got there! We were all still worn out from all our hiking in Zion so it felt nice to take things easy for most of the day. We drove into the north rim side of the park and enjoyed some beautiful sunset views of the Grand Canyon! Our guys are doing so well, love this sunset pic of them❤️ Great way to end an easy going, nap taking, kind of day! Tomorrow we will add some Grand Canyon adventures to our day!  Today’s Scripture: We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

Sand Hollow State Park July 15th☀️😁

Coolest State Park yet!!😁3, 2, 1....JUMP!!!  Cliff jumping in Utah!! 106degrees makes for a getting wet kind of day!! Guys said this was a top favorite spot for them so far!!! It was fun watching them jump and seeing those big smiles the whole time. Kyle and I enjoyed watching the guys more then jumping ourselves, water felt great for swimming and so refreshing.😃 Thank you Lord that we have 4 guys who love adventure and are healthy to enjoy your beautiful creation. Continue to watch over us, and keeping us safe as we continue to explore and find thrill in doing cool things!❤️May the guys see your mighty hand in the many new things we see and do on this trip! You are the Lord, our Creator of Awesome things!!!

Zion National Park July 16th☀️☀️

Image
Zion National Park was an incredible place to us! We had a really full day hiking at The Narrows and then checking out Angels Landing in the afternoon. The guys hiked about 10 miles total for the day, and held up amazing! They wore their new water packs and that seemed to help stay well hydrated.😊☀️ It was 105 degrees!  Jake found this hiking stick right away in the morning and thought it was perfect for hiking! Heading up The Narrows! Fun hiking in the water! Cool experience.  Stopped for some fun family photos.🥰 I love traveling with my favorite guy! So much fun spending time away with him and checking out the coolest places together. So blessed!  The views in Zion are truly outstanding. One of the prettiest places we’ve seen yet! Great day for our family. Swimming in the pool after was a great way to cool off after all our hiking! Helped to cool off before a fun night of resting and relaxing together. Thankful the evenings cooled off nice...

Travel Day/ Groceries/ Laundry Day! July 14th 😉

Image
Tuesday, July 14th was a travel and regroup day after coming off of our Yellowstone and Grand Teton adventures! The drive seemed to go fast, but the laundry seemed to take us FOREVER!! And gonna be real here, it was a crabby day for me! Overtired&Wornout= A Crabby Mom!😳 Once we started the laundry and got that rollin’ we took our bikes to Cafe Rio for supper and had these amazing cookies for dessert at Cookie Crumble! The guys had fun swimming in the pool and hanging out in the hot tub and watched a movie in the RV while Kyle and I wrapped up the laundry. It was a needed day to clean up and regroup.... and I guess get some crabbiness out! Thankful tomorrow’s a new day!❤️ Today’s Scripture: Let us then approach Gods throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 so perfect for me today!😉
