Florida part1

We just got home about a week ago from an amazing vacation to Florida! The 6 of us were so excited to be able to take off someplace warm and visit our Nana and GG. It was so great!!
Part 1- Traveling, getting settled and exploring Ft Myer's and Sanibel Island
As the boys get older they are so easy to travel with because they can handle their own luggage and carry on! Fantastic!
Loved this pic of the boys waiting to board. They were so excited!
Killin' some time with our kindles at the airport.
 Great smiles before taking off!
We took a really big plane on the way out there. I've never been in a plane that seated 6 across! Caleb's headphones make me smile. :)
Traveling went super smooth and we found Nana and GG right away!! It was so great to see them and to see the warm sun shining outside. We all took turns running outside at the airport to feel how warm it was. I think the boys were a bit surprised. Once we got our luggage we grabbed some lunch at Chick-Filet and then headed to Nana and GG's beach house. Within minutes we found our swim suits and went swimming, the weather and water felt amazing!!
The next day Kyle and my only request was that we explore the ocean for our first day. So, Nana took us to a great beach that had so many cool things to see! And there were lots and lots of amazing full sized shells that we collected. Beautiful sun that morning but a bit chilly to start.
 Micah found some red coral...
 and cool shell thing...
Micah wanted me to take this picture because this shell was shaped like a heart!
 Caleb enjoying the waves...
These boys...loved watching them enjoy the shoreline and play in the ocean together

Kyle and I collected all these shells with little creatures inside them. It was sweet watching them crawl along the sand!
 Our 1st day in Florida!!!

This Jellyfish floated right up on shore! They are the craziest looking things ever!
Drew doing a beach dance for us!
Castle city created by Caleb and Jake!
Great picnic on the beach! Our only dilemma were the seagulls that joined us toward the end of our lunch. Drew was not a happy camper!
While eating lunch we spotted some dolphins swimming, so incredible to watch. We were really lucky to see that! One of our top 5 favorite moments together. I was so intrigued that I didn't even take a picture, luckily Kyle got a quick snap of this one below.  We will always remember seeing dolphins in Ft Myers, Florida!

That afternoon we drove up to Sanibel Island and the temperature was getting so nice and warm. We enjoyed playing on the beach together all afternoon.
So fun to watch the boys run on the beach!

Towards evening we rented Surreys and they were lots of fun!
Our little alligators! These 4 are so much fun, it was a great first couple of days!
My morning runs were gorgeous along the ocean. I tried to cross the Sanibel Island bridge one morning but the toll guy said, no runners on the bridge. So, I turned around but I wasn't too disappointed because the view along the ocean was fantastic. I felt completely spoiled this week!
