Time w Lynn and Race time!

It is always a highlight to our summer to have Lynn come visit us! I am so thankful that she loves to come see us each summer and spend time with us. 
Lynn wanted to get an updated pic of the boys and here is what she got! They are growing up so fast
As always Lynn likes to entertain us with new games, crafts and activities to do each day! I like having her come towards the end of the summer when all my unique ideas have run dry! Boys had fun boucing balloons with fly swatters!


Minute to Win It Challenges were a HIT!
It was a really nice few days spending time with such an AMAZING woman of God. I was blessed.


Kyle and I ran in the Gopher to Badger Half Marathon in Hudson so Lynn and boys came to cheer us on! Jacob found this great tree to cheer from!
We finished our race proud to have done it, but it was a really tough race for both of us. Sometimes that happens. Always reminded what a gift running is no matter the outcome!
Caleb James was baptized Sunday night of this weekend. It was so neat to see how excited he was to tell others he is ready to live a life for God! Fun to celebrate this special night with our church family. 
The summer is flying by quickly!

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Big Bro Twin Cities Champion/Little Sis Big Woods 1/2 Marathon Champion

My brother and I are the crazy runners in our family! We took on the Twin Cities Marathon challenge on October 7th and trained like mad to get ready for the event. We began the morning feeling great and ready to take on the challenge before us, yet not knowing only one of us would finish. Ben was taking on his first marathon and was looking forward to finishing and enjoying this wild adventure! I however have done a few of these already and was aimed to kick some butt in the process. So, different goals, but the same idea in mind-lets run the race for Christ. The race did not go as planned for me. The weather was extremely hot and humid and it totally took over my body. All I can really remember is thinking, "Wow it is really hot and I am really sweating!" With little to drink I passed out at mile 10 of the marathon! My time at that point was 1 hour 7 minutes..... on track for an amazing marathon. Truly discouraged I attempted to get back in the race to pass out AGAIN at mil

Wolf River White Water Rafting Youth Trip!

We were able to start the tradition of taking the International Falls youth to the great Wolf River. We took a great group of kids who did not know what to expect and drove the 10 hours to the river. We spend 2 days rafting and then hit the road for home. The students and leaders had a great time navigating the rapids themselves, flipping a boat or two and of course the water falls were a huge hit. U had the opportunity to sit down at the camp fire and one day in our boat with some of the students who do not regularly come to our ministry and talk about the relationship with Christ. These discussions where by far the highlight of my trip, getting to encourage students in their faith and hear the testimony about how they came to know the Lord was just awesome. Our first night it rained more than i have ever seen, and most of our tents stayed dry.
