Thankful for 2019!!
Another full year is coming to an end and we have so enjoyed spending the year with each other, our family, and those God has placed in our path who have become wonderful friends. We are so grateful for the ways God has led our family to have eyes to see who we need to be loving on around us on a daily basis. So neat to hear from our boys that they are beginning to live out their faith in our community and being salt and light each day. We have grown closer together as a family this year and find comfort in knowing that we have one another through the hard times and the good times. This year has been packed with lots of highlights so we wanted to share some of them with you before heading into 2020!
Lots of Basketball to kickoff 2019
Our winter was packed with many great basketball tournaments! Kyle and I have fun going to the guys games and cheering like crazy. We are very proud parents!
Bluefin Bay GetAway
Always a blessing to us to be gifted this special place to go visit and refresh together! We really enjoy snow shoeing together when the weather is snowy perfect. Great time away for us.
Kyle graduating from Bethel
We were so proud of Kyle graduating with his masters degree in Transformational Leadership, it was really a fun celebration of all his hard work.
Fun memories at Webb Lake
One of our favorite places in the whole world. A week at the lake with my parents and brothers and all 10 grandchildren and in laws is always a fun time for us!! It was another great year.
New Patio
We are so glad to have a nice big patio in our backyard! The boys really enjoy shooting hoops out in the back and Kyle and I like relaxing with evening bonfires in the summertime. It has been a huge hangout spot for us!
Lots of baseball for Summer 2019
Lots of evenings and weekends at the ball field with these boys. Thankful for great coaches and families we got to spend time with. Glad grandparents could come lots too!
Wonderful Memories at the lake
Heading to the lake in-between baseball games brought us some great rest, relaxation, and swim time! Always nice to sneak away together and spend some time with nana and gg!
July 4th fireworks
A family tradition that remains a highlight for us each year. Taking the boat out on Lake Menomin to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July is so much fun.
Clara is baptized+godparents
Kyle and I were asked to be godparents to our niece Clara and we had a wonderful weekend spending time with my brothers family in Fergus Falls this past summer and being at Clara's dedication at their home church.
An adventure for our family and my parents that we will never forget. It was an absolute blast and packed full of so many great memories shared together.
3 Marathons this year!
Eau Claire Marathon, Grandmas Marathon, Twin Cities Marathon
I would do it all over again! And I may someday take on 3 marathons again in 1 year sometime. I loved the challenge and the many things I learned along the way. Each marathon was an incredible experience that I would not trade for anything. Perseverance and Dedication are the two words I would use to describe these races. Always learning and growing on and off the roads... a marathon is truly metaphoric to life.
Kyle becoming lead pastor at Cedarbrook
A huge leap of faith for our family as Kyle has become lead pastor at Cedarbrook this fall! We are excited for how God is leading and continues to teach us to lead not only at Cedarbrook but in our community. We love Menomonie! Honored by Gods calling on our family.
Football Season
Fun season to watch Drew pad up for football this year! We had fun watching Micah and Caleb as well during the football season. Of course Jake is ready to take on some football next year!
Honduras Mission trip
A highlight for both Kyle and Drew this fall. Fun to hear about their experience together and the impact it had on Drew's life.
