More tennis+glad it’s Friday!

Micah is loving tennis as a freshmen!  I love these great pics of him. Proud mom that Micah made the varsity tennis team. He plays some varsity, some JV. Just depends on the day. I love that Micah has found something he really enjoys as his spring sport. Season is off to a great start with several wins under his belt! Drew is enjoying golf! I just don’t get many pics of him because you don’t really go cheer for golf in high school. I hope I can get a photo or two this season!  I also love that he found golf for his spring sport. So proud of my boys and absolutely love cheering them on in the sport they enjoy❤️ This weekend Jake has a baseball scrimmage and games start next week! Spring is so busy, just trying to keep up! And keep them all fed.

Our family schedule+having fun!

Gunderson Spring Sports have begun! Drew played in RV yesterday and golfed decent, Micah played against RV in tennis and won, Caleb played in EC in tennis and won too! Jake has baseball practice tomorrow and begins playing games on Monday.  We are all going in different directions, but having so much fun switching up sports and groups of friends. Fun to observe my guys enjoying Spring and the sports they are involved in. It will be a busy season for us, navigating it all, but it’ll work… one day at a time. Caleb was pretty pumped to be tennis partners with Carter, so far they are off to a great start. Photo from their 1st tennis tournament last weekend in Hartford. This weekend they head to Wausau! Micah is really enjoying tennis so far.

Boston: time with Kyle post marathon!๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›Wednesday final day

Woke up on Wednesday morning to blue skies and bright sunshine! Ready to explore!! I tried out a nice easy paced recovery run. Legs were tight but loosened up as I ran, felt good to get the blood flowing. And run in the sunshine! Started walking the freedom trail stopping at the Old State House first. It is one of the oldest buildings in the United States. One of the landmarks on Boston’s freedom trail, oldest surviving building in Boston. Then we went to Paul Reveres house (1680) Really enjoyed checking it out. He lived there during the American Revolution. Saw a few cemeteries…this is the Copp Hill Burying Ground. One of the oldest cemeteries in Boston. Toured this ship at the Boston National Historical Park. The Union Oyster House is the oldest restaurant in Boston. Considered one of oldest brick buildings for over 300 years! In 2003 it became a National Historic Landmark.  BEST sandwich I’ve ever had!! Kyle ordered it up at the best Italian Grocery and it was delicious. R...

Day 1: Crappy Weather in Boston! I mean seriously glad we did NOT race today. Super windy 20mph+ winds and rainy/cloudy. We did the best we could! Check this out. The gardens here are beautiful. Nice to move the legs a bit today and check out the area. I had a really yummy ginger lemonade here, wishin Menomonie made that! Super tasty. Loved this sign. This was where the bombing happened in April 15, 2013, pretty unreal to be walking right where it took place. Kyle was excited to check out Cheers for lunch. Nice to meet up with Rick and Tamara, Andy and Audrey and Riley. Night life. I took this pic after dinner on our walk to the hotel. So pretty! All the buildings are so so big and enormous. Fun to try out these pastries- I got a chocolate roll and a cannoli, so yummy! I hope I get to come back someday just so I can eat another cannoli. All in all, even with crappy weather we had a fun day! Nice to take a rest in the afternoon too.

Boston: Race day!✨3:07

FINALLY RACE DAY!!! So cool fact. When you stay so close to the start line, helicopters swarm around the area starting very early on race morning. I got the chills, realizing how big a race this really is! I DID sleep a little bit pre-marathon race. But when I woke up, I was so nervous. I even got teary thinking how cool this is I get to race at the Boston marathon! I felt it in my heart that this course wouldn’t be an under 3 hour race, but it would be a really cool experience. The course setup isn’t right for me to crush a 3hour race, but I know it’s coming… So well organized. Loved having my buddy Andy to walk to the start line with. It was really nice to have a friend at the start line while waiting to begin.  Andy and I were in the same wave and corral! How ironic is this? The national anthem and jets were outstanding before the race began! Andy took a few of these photos I thought I would share of the course. Kyle saw me 3 times on the course, so fun to spot him! He did a fan...
