Priceless Moments
Andrew and I have had a lot of fun in these final weeks before our new little arrival comes! I am 38 weeks pregnant today, and getting terribly front heavy! However, these last days and moments alone with Andrew have been absolutely priceless.
Andrew loves playing with mommy in the snow outside, and since the weather has been much warmer (20s-30s) we have been going out everyday! We play in the snow with kitchen supplies or bath toys, go to the park and swing together, build snow castles (of which Andrew crashes instantly!), and go on walks with daddy and Cody.
We also have enjoyed going to storytime at the library on Thursday mornings. Andrew is getting better at sitting on his carpet square for a duration on the readings. Other times he is walking up to the lady reading and looking really close at the book being read aloud or organizing carpet squares not being occupied! Andrew loves singing songs and dancing with his bean bag at the end of the storytime hour. It has been such a joy to watch Andrew loving life each and every moment of his day!
Andrew also loves to read stories at home with mom and dad. He is still quite distracted to listen for more than 2 minutes of reading, but loves looking at pictures! I hear the attention span is still to come! Andrew knows the cow, pig, and puppy noises and loves to impress us with them daily as we read about them in stories or ask him to say the noises out loud during the day. He also loves making the car noise as he plays with them around the house. I have to say, he is one smart little guy! It is so fun to teach him new words and noises because he really absorbs them quicker these days. Body parts are just starting to click, such as the nose, mouth, ears and eyes. He is still learning how to blow a kiss. So far, he only understands to blow out of his nose and doesn't quite get the throw a kiss thing! It is so funny to watch him try to connect this concept.
Andrew is truly priceless in my life. Kyle and I thank God each and every day that we have been blessed to have been given such a priceless gift, Andrew Marvin. God gave all of us parents a wonderful priveledge, to raise children to glorify and live for Him. I can't think of anything else more fulfilling in life. And it sure isn't anything money can buy! God Bless!
Here is a picture of Andrew at lunch today eating spaghetti!
