Gunderson Adventures....

  Gunderson Camping Trip 2012 was an absolute blast!!!  Kyle and I were truly impressed by our little campers! They were great! The boys all love playing in the tent and making sure everything is ready to go- Caleb is testing out the flashlight! Check! Works Great!  Jacob tested our lantern-Check! That worked great too! We were set for FUN in the dark!!!  We camped at Cascade State Park along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Here are the Cascade waterfalls! Gorgeous! Andrew, Micah and Caleb loved hiking each day and exploring lots of new waterfalls-gooseberry falls, caribou falls, temperance river falls, hidden falls, and cascade falls.  Gooseberry Falls- A family favorite!  Kyle and Andrew exploring the falls- all senses involved! We had a fun week spending time together swimming, going on picnics and eating ice cream! Here is a picture of the boys with daddy at our new favorite ice cream shop! We had a great 4th of July with friends from Cedarbrook! So fun to get together and spend time swimming in the lake, having a picnic and watching fireworks together! One of our favorite days of the year! Andrew and Bethany hanging out together! Jacob is ready for fireworks in the boat! We had a blast jumping in the lake right up until fireworks began and then eating popcorn and watching the fireworks right in our boat! A new favorite tradition! To finish up our fun 4th of July celebrations our awesome cousins Kaylee and Logan came to swim with us at the water park and head back to the house to grill and hang out! What a great day with uncle Ben and aunt Kara, Kaylee and Logan! Thanks for coming to hang out with us!

 We are now getting into the groove of summer and having all 4 boys home. We are enjoying these warm summer days in Menomonie and loving our water park in town! Having a picnic before we hit the water!  This last weekend we went to Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls and enjoyed walking around the park and going to the Splash Pad! Boys had fun exploring the hiking trail.  They all decided it was time for a break on the bench.... The boys spent some time in their "at home water park" with their buddy Charlie! Yesterday was a great day to stay home and enjoy some fun in the sun! The weather was in the 90's!!! Summer is here!!!

Another great week at Webb Lake!!! The boys are old enough now that they are remembering some of the fun traditions and memories we've made at this place and count down the days till we get to head out and spend a whole week relaxing with family!  Grandpa was patient enough to take us all out fishing in the mornings and we loved every chance to not only spend time with him but to catch fish too! We all took turns in the fishing boat and I loved this shot of the "big" boys! Caleb turned 3 years old while we were at the lake and we celebrated his party by having a bug hunt and eating dirt cake for dessert! These are our silly bug hunters! One of the reasons going to the lake is so special to me is because we are able to spend quality and quantity time with our family. My grandparents are still able to join us and my boys have such an awesome relationship with them solely due to having the chance to play and be with them each year at the lake! I love this pic...

 I had a great morning with Andrew and his Kindergarten class at the Environmental Site!!!  His friend Brady and Andrew were looking for tadpoles in the stream and we found a toad and lots of tadpoles!!!! So Fun!!! We were exploring all the things in the stream together in buckets... What a fun morning spent with my Big school boy! So special to spend time just with him and his buddies! We ate a great lunch together and enjoyed the warm sunshine. Such a special day!

We are so proud of our boys for memorizing Gods word this year in Awana!!! We are so glad that Menomonie offers this program as it gets them learning the importance of having Gods word in your heart and mind. Andrew memorized the whole new testament and can retell many of his bible verses memorized throughout the year!!! Way to go Drew!! Micah finished up his last year in Cubbies and will begin as a Sparky in the fall with Andrew. We are proud of Micah for just beginning to get into Gods word by memorizing pieces of or short bible verses this year!!! He was excited to fill up his whole blue Cubbie vest with patches! Way to go Micah!!! Caleb was able to join a group of young kids in a new program called Puggles where he sang about Jesus and talked a lot about Gods creation... He is already talking about what a big boy he will be when he can start Cubbies in the fall! As I dropped the boys off each week I would pray Proverbs 22:6 for each of them... We love watching you sit on your own, eat rice cereal, try new veggies, roll over, babble and try to out talk your brothers and discover new toys! You are a delight to our family.
