Wrapping up September!

 Today IS the final day of September so I wanted to throw out some fun things we’ve been up to in the last week as we say goodbye to another month! 

Football is ON around here and Micah had his first football last week! Fun to cheer for them as it was their first “padded” game! They all look so big with their full gear on! Micah of course is the cutest out there in my mind!😉 #67 is Dynamite!


Drew also played 2 games this past week- 1st game in Hudson freshmen, 2nd game at home against Hudson sophomore team. Drew’s freshmen football team got combined with the sophomores this year due to the amount of COVID cases and students sent home. These pics were taken on live stream in Hudson! Drew is lovin’ it and is playing really well. He’s #59!!

Last Saturday I took on 26.2 with my friend Mandy, supporting her to complete her EC virtual marathon. Tackled it in 3:30 feelin’ great! Fun morning with friends chatting and doing what I love! 🏃‍♀️ 
Fun day in the cities celebrating fall birthday parties last weekend, I always love watching the guys hang out together. Glad we could all get together!

Subbing in September has been a bit overwhelming to add to the mix of things for me. I’m handling the balance overall very well but it does make life a handful at times! I’m taking it one day at a time and enjoying the blessings God has put around me each day. Thankful for good health this month for our family, a strong marriage, and time in Gods word keeping me grounded on His promises everyday!
My favorite September verse is Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?

Grandmas Marathon- getting faster!!

3:00:38 Grandmas Marathon PR!! I’m still smiling…things are coming along nicely in my marathon expertise! Haha, Im just being silly but I really am learning more as I go-what works best for me, what doesn’t.  June 17th was a blast!! Cramps hit strong in my left calf around mile 18 and then my pace got more limited as I went, I was so scared I would pull something that I tried to find the balance of push and hold up! Super proud of this race and the battle I fought. The marathon is a beast and continues to challenge me! Games ON still for the CIM Marathon on December 3rd. 😁First up though, trails and less miles for me for awhile. My friend Leah is a true gem, someone I really enjoy sharing running miles and life with. Kyle, Micah and I enjoyed time with Leah’s family in Duluth. Her sister Sara and brother-in-law Mike made us feel so welcome and special!  I’ve been getting faster and continue to PR each year since my late 30s, in fact the last time I raced Grandmas Marathon I ran a 3:16

Getting better and getting ready to go home!

Hey There! We thank all of you so much for all of your prayer support through this entire process. Go sure had His hand in this from the beginning. Anna and Micah are both doing just great. Yesterday was a hard day for Anna, She was very tired and had a hard time as the Doctors began to take her off of some of the pain meds she was not feeling good. She began to get a high temp,but that was all taken care of by early in the night and she slept great. She will be again trying to get of the IV pain meds and move to pills, if this goes well today we will be on our way home to see Drew tomorrow. Anna and I are both really loving the calm personality that God gave to little Micah as we know the high energy that Drew has waiting for us at home. We can't wait to see his little smile again and hear all of his animal noises and cars sounds. It will be so great to see the way that God grows these two boys only 17 months apart. It will be crazy and great all at the same time. Pray

Friday came quick!😅

 These full days have gone by super fast this week. Teaching full days to students who need my full attention, getting over a cold this week, spending time with all the boys each night, and keeping up with Kyle’s busy church schedule has had us all feeling like it has been a quick week! Micah and Caleb had a tennis meeting this week to get ready for their spring season, Kyle and I are really excited to cheer them on soon! Maybe sooner with how warm our weather has been this winter. It’s been fun to hear that Micah has been at the courts a lot already with his buddies, praying he has a solid season ahead for his Junior year.  Micah will be 17yrs old next Tuesday! It’s so crazy to think I have an 18yr old, almost 17yr old, 15yr old, and 12yr old….I wish I could keep them little.❤️ Each season of life looks so different.
