Divide CO+Pikes Peak Hike July 31-Aug 1st

I took off on a needed solo run before we headed out towards Divide CO- some days I find savoring solitude to be exactly what I need before the day begins! It was a beautiful run in the mountains πŸ”
Kyle put the guys in charge of the planning today and they decided Paradise Cove was the spot! They wanted to do some cliff jumping and after hanging out with Kevin and hearing he went, they wanted to go check it out.
It was pretty sweet and lots of fun watching the guys jump. The bummer part of our day was Kyle losing his Apple Watch in the RiverπŸ™We felt bad he had lost it, he felt mad he had worn it! Ugh.
Here’s our little cutie hanging out with me and watching the jumpers😊
After swimming we pulled into Giles and Angel’s place and enjoyed a nice night grilling up some chicken and playing games with our friends. So awesome to spend time with them!
Swipe is our new favorite card game! Angel’s candy jars were pretty fantastic too. We were totally spoiled!
The next morning we took off on our Pikes Peak Climb with one of our favorite people. Hiking with 6 guys though makes me feel way out numbered! Praying for great future hiking ladies for them!πŸ˜‰
We prayed for great attitudes before our hike began, and they all did great! Even the two oldest guys!!
Had to grab this fun selfie on a snack break.
Love these guys! They were the BEST hiking partners. One of my highlights of the week was listening to these two talk...Jake the snake and Scratchy were his two nicknames this week! πŸ˜†
These guys hike sooo slow..... I mean at this point I thought it might take ALL DAY to reach the Summit!!
Luckily it didn’t and we reached the Summit in under 5hours! Such pretty views and the weather was just perfect. We saw goats and marmots on the way up too!
We made it! Fun to bring the guys up there after Kyle and I did it a month ago on our pastors retreat. Proud of these boys!
After checking out the gift shop, filling up water bottles and having a snack, we decided to take on the decline, just the two of us crazy runners!😜I was so excited to go that I hit the downs a bit too hard and took a solid fall, flat on my chest😳All okay though.πŸ‘πŸ»Thank goodness!
The decline went way quicker and it was a blast!! Took us about 2 hours to get back to our vehicles and hook back up with the guys. I so enjoyed our chat time before my running partner headed back home. It was really fun to have him hike with us and be apart of such a fun experience for the guys. A memory maker for sure!!
Back to eat pizza and play cards together!
Incredible Day.
Lord, your creation is Incredible, your blessings overflowing. The people you bring into our paths to share life with continue to show us your never ending love for our family. We are blessed by Rick and his family, he is a true gift to us! We ask for safe travels for him as he heads home.❤️
You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things.
